The aim of Aviation Security

The aim of aviation security is to

safeguard passengers, crew, ground

personnel and the general public from

acts of unlawful interference against

civil aviation.

This will include aspects of both general and aviation

related security in the Airline (EK) context.

Aim of Secure Freight

The initiative aims to facilitate safe,

secure and efficient operations of air cargo

and to ensure the protection from all acts of

unlawful interference across the whole supply

chain from shipper to consignee

Cargo & Aircraft Protection

• Provides the essentials of Cargo Security in all Group warehouses including Dnata, EK Sky Cargo as well as EK Engineering. This is as per the AVSEC requirements of both the Airport regulations and TAPA compliance.

• Expertise in : • Check-in baggage checks • Baggage monitoring • Boarding gate hand carry baggage checks • Aircraft access control • Aircraft guarding & cabin search • Ramp Security surveillance

• Services extended to other operators and airlines • Escort of Deportees

EK Skycargo ( CMT )

1- Ware house located in bonded area with layered security controls. Warehouse is TAPA certified as well as all Security procedures are ISO certified. EK Skycargo centre is equipped with access control and surveillance systems as well it is also manned by trained Security staff that secure the restricted zone within the facility. All Export Cargo is screened by X ray and or subjected to K9 before entering the warehouse or BUP location.

2- Personnel Security: Background Check through HR/GS as well Airside CID verification.

EK Cargo Security

• 100% Screening of all joining cargo • 100% Screening of transit cargo to the US & use of ETD • Transhipment cargo screened based on risk & intelligence assessment with the support of Authorities • Compliant as per GCAA standards.

Quality Assurance & Planning

• Embarked on a Quality Assurance Programme

• TAPA Category “A” certified for all Warehouses

• Working with Civil Aviation Authority to create

an IATA “Secure Freight Hub” in Dubai

International Certification

Technology Asset Protection Association - ISO 9001:2008 - ISO 28000:2006 - C-TPAT - Dubai Quality Award

First in UAE & First in Middle East

The Association’s Security requirements are recognized globally as the industry standard for cargo facility and transport security
