What’s On The Horizon?ASBA 2019 Annual Cargo ConferenceASBA will return to the Eden Roc in Miami Beach, Florida for our 17th Annual Cargo Conference. We have again booked rooms in the spectacular Ocean Tower. Our meet & greet opening reception hosted on Sept. 25th and our Sept. 26th dinner cruise up the Intercoastal on the luxurious Biscayne Lady yacht are designed to give our delegates the opportunity to get to know each other in casual surroundings.
We have gathered an excellent group of speakers who will address the question, “What’s on the Horizon?” They will share their views on market trends in both the tanker and dry cargo trades. Thursday morning we will open the conference with a presentation by Platts on the possible effects of sulphur caps on freight rates and the implications for arbitrage. This year’s Tanker discussion panel will explore market trends and IMO Implications and is supported by key industry principals. Delegates will enjoy presentations on strategic cargoes that include Grain and Industrial Minerals. The “What Would You Do?” discussion panel will explore the practical and ethical challenges faced by trading partners. The Friday morning panel will provide the latest on: Safety – Solid Bulk Cargoes, FFAs for Dummies, Big Data & Cyber Security and Industry Market Trends, that should prove timely and informative.
We look forward to seeing you in Miami!
