Media Island International is a resource, networking and cultural center supporting social, gender, racial,

The Office of Congressman Heck serves the residents of the 10th Congressional District of Washington. The
10th Congressional District contains most of Pierce County, nearly all of Thurston County and a portion of
Mason County. An internship in Congressman Heck's District Office provides a great opportunity for
students to learn first-hand how our government works. Interns learn about the legislative process, as well as
the operations of a Congressional office. Internship opportunities are offered throughout the fall, winter,
spring and summer. Although all internships are unpaid, students gain invaluable work experience.
Additionally, the office is happy to assist interns who qualify for academic credit. The hours are flexible to
accommodate personal schedules. Interns may perform a variety of duties including: general office work such
