Customized Workshops (PRPC): Pre-Retirement Planning Course

Recap

Planning to retire from full time work? Are you ready? Our Pre-Retirement Entrepreneurial Empowerment Programme (PREEP) program guides employees through everything from retirement benefits to work-life transitions and there is no hard-and-fast rule on when an employee should take the PREEP course. Most participants in PREEP have been 1-5 years from their retirement date. Spouses and partners are encouraged to attend.

What is Retirement? This interactive workshop is designed to help participants establish their career direction and give them skills, knowledge and motivation to achieve their career goals. Prior to the workshop, each participant will complete a 30 minute online career assessment.

When you hear the word retirement, what do you think of? Is it the closing of one chapter and the opening of another? Some might call it the best days of your life. In many cases, retirement can be the best days of your life but unfortunately for some it is disappointing. Really, retirement might be thought of as a continu-um between two extremes: the best days of your life and the worst days of your life. Someone once said, “Retirement is when you have too much time to do nothing”. Recently one of my cli-ents described retirement as “the time when you never do all the things that you intended to do when you'd have the time.”
