OVERVIEW

A journey of a thousand iles starts with a single ste goes a saying and as

the very first ste in the field of har acology ,a worksho on areer

Scul ting for budding har acologists was held on the 18th of June 2011

at Kasturba Medical College in association with the Department of

Pharmacology & Mpower Institute of Clinical Research.

The occasion was graced by erudite scholars in the edical field & the Heads

of the har acology De art ent. Dr.Ashok Shenoy K welco ed the

august gathering. Dr.K.L.Bairys inaugural talk de icted a different

ers ective on the teaching field and the industry as well. His call to thestudents to ex lore the facilities rovided to the was heard by all.

The entire day was s lit into 5 sessions headed by e inent s eakers in the

res ective fields and a discussion foru was held at the end.

OVERVIEW

Documentaries on Career Opportunities gave a sneak- eak into the various

o tions available for a har acologist.

Dr.S.Malinis in uts and outlook on the various career as ects cleared the air

of doubt a ongst the students. She also ex ressed her gratitude toKMC, the organizers &conveners of the worksho and the participants for

aking the worksho a grand success

The worksho ended on a high note with the students and s eakers

exchanging knowledge in an interactive discussion forum.

As the sun set, the very first ste had been taken and with their sails aloft, the

har acologists were all set to carve a niche and make their markin their

chosen fields!
