FOUNDATION & EDUCATION
I’m a 2005 graduate of The Art Institute of Atlanta with a Bachelors of Fine Art degree in Media Arts and Animation. This degree offered a variety of training in mediums to support the creation of
animation. This included a heavy concentration in Graphic Design and Project Development.
My primary focus was Pre-Production as applied to film. This focus included Character Design and Storyboarding. With an interest in pre-production, I participated in classes that studied the
Psychology of Design, Personality Development, Design Legibility and more. I also participated in classes designed to encourage self promotion and nurture marketing habits online. Web Design
and Development were major resources in completing my degree.
The overall variance in my curriculum has been majorly beneficial to my career. The skills that were learned allowed me to set a path for my career, while becoming a reliable
resource capable of handling multiple task.
CAREER EXPERIENCE
I’ve worked for 4 companies since starting my professional career. I began in Web Design and Front-end Development in 2005. My interest in Online Design and User Experience
continued to flourish from that point forward as I made it a priority to learn more about how my skillset could be applied to the industry. I continued to grow my education in Web Development in support of Online Multi-Channel Marketing Campaigns. For 8 years I’ve served as a Design and
Development resource for Online Marketing and E-Commerce.
In 2010 I became a more dedicated resource in the Design/User Experience side of E-Commerce, utilizing Usability Research to improve Online Shopping User Interfaces. In addition to E-
Commerce, I became a leader in Mobile Design Initiatives. This included Concepting, Designing, Prototyping and Testing new E-Commerce initiatives. My hands-on responsibilities in Online
Marketing evolved into Managerial responsibilities leading teams of up to 5 and organizing teams of up to 10 on projects budgeted $20,000 - $500,000.
In 2012 I became a Director in my field, Organizing and Managing E-Commerce from the ground up. I also became a leader in Developing Marketing Strategies to improved the sale of online product.
Going forward, I’ve aimed to progress my career in User Experience. Focusing on opportunities that
will allow me to continue using my background in Concept Development and Design to improve the performance of Online Products. The next slides will cover my career experience along with some
sample shots of work completed.
BALLARD DESIGNS 2005-2008
In 2005 I joined Ballard Designs as a resource for Creative Services. My initial responsibilities were
not defined initially. I was asked to “design where needed”. I requested responsibility in Email Marketing and Online Advertising for E-Commerce. I gained control of those responsibilities as a
Web Designer and moved Design and Development in-house. By moving Online Marketing in house I assisted in growing the Email Marketing portion of online sales by creating a more efficient
process for executing campaigns. Working with a marketing manager allowed us to grow our mailing list from 200K to over 500K. This evolved into Segmented Campaigns and Dynamic Promotions.
I eventually moved into Designing for E-Commerce and Social Media initiatives.

CURTIS 1000 INC. 2008-2010
In 2008 I joined Curtis 1000 Inc. as a Multi-Channel Resource designing for Print and Web. I also
served as Front-end Developer of Online Marketing Campaigns. This role provided an opportunity to advance my knowledge in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Actionscript and PHP, while also working
with clients directly to help plan/scope out goals. Curtis 1000 Inc. offered an agency style environment that handled a variety of different clients financial institutions, colleges, universities and
small businesses. Multi-Channel campaigns typically included Postcards, Letters, Email Campaigns and Microsites. These campaigns worked cohesively to deliver a marketing message
and collect data on potential prospects.

BALLARD DESIGNS 2010-2012
In 2010, I was re-hired by Ballard Designs as Sr. Web Designer and tasked with leading the redesign of Ballarddesigns.com. This E-Commerce task involved Wireframe Design, Creative Design, Style Guide Development, HTML/CSS Development of E-Commerce page types/flow processes and
Implementation of static content.
In addition to my hands-on responsibility, I became the Manager of Web Design projects for Marketing. I managed a team of 3, establishing processes for requesting online marketing between marketing management and web creative resources. This effectively streamlined the production of
campaigns and increased marketing opportunities.
While managing marketing creative, I worked almost exclusively on Mobile initiatives to help test the market and open additional channels for online sales. Projects included Mobile Phone and Tablet E-
Commerce, along with Digital Publication Design and Development for iPad.

IMAGERS 2012-2014
Imagers is a small, family owned business that specializes in Digital Printing and Marketing
Execution. They have provided creative services to Atlanta, GA since 1947 in a variety of ways. Imagers hired me in 2012 to essentially be a similar resource as I was for Ballard Designs except this role required more Project Management and Team Organization in relation to the main project of
redesigning imagers.com as a source of revenue.
As Director of E-Commerce, I was expected to evaluate the internal web design team and place them in roles that would allow for the successful execution of E-Commerce. Based on my evaluation,
I organized additional resources to support E-Commerce Design and Development initiatives. Specifically, I orchestrated Research, Organized Requirements, suggested Budgets, hired
Resources, Project Management, Designed Wireframes, Designed Concepts, Developed Front-end, Implemented Content, Designed Marketing and continued to orchestrate Phased
Improvements based on User Feedback.
Along with my core responsibilities, I also served as a lead in client related projects. Imagers managed to utilize my all around skillset in Print, Web Design and Project Management.
