So much music involved in day to day activity

He was inspired by music in grade 7
He wanted to be a performing musician
He took teaching classes to compliment his teaching degree

Lack of time
Increases in administrational pressures (paperwork, organizing trips)

50 hours a week
Split between different bands, organizing trips and paper work dominently

Band trips every second year
Visited: Fredericton, New York City, California, Florida and Ottawa

First job was a shock, moving from theory of teaching to actually doing it

Vacation times are limited to July or August

Don’t lose sight of why you love music
When things are frustrating focus on the joy of sharing knowledge

Starting an hour later would make mornings easier

Summers off, week break at Easter, Christmas
