Activities Conducted during the year:
To achieve the objectives as enumerated above. The committee had met the officials of the
following organizations:
o Aptech Global learners solutions
o The Skills Academy
o NIIT Limited
o Jet Airways
o Ryze Overseas
o BSE Ltd
o Endeavour Academy
o Jaro Education
o Times Pro
The above organizations have conducted their respective seminars, workshops, etc in the college.
The members of the committee also made massive effort in the employment drive conducted by
NIIT through their flag ship program The Job Fair on 24th Jan 2014. Number of students took
keen interest in the drive. However due to lack of coordination and support from staff of NIIT
namely Mr. Darshan and Mr. Anil Nair the drive was not successful in terms of placement.
Through Jet Airways we could place some of our students. We have collaborated with top notch
companies such as Capgemini India Pvt. Ltd. for placement of our students and also sent our
students to various campus recruitment drives conducted at other colleges as well. This has
resulted in our students getting recruited in these prestigious companies, the list of which is as
under.
Another milestone which the committee could achieve was through Star Program- Conducted by
the Skills Academy (New Delhi) in collaboration with the Government of Ind ia’s Skill
development program, where financial support as well as soft skills training were provided to the
students in the college premises. More than 300 hundred students enrolled for the program but
due the dates of the training falling in the summer vacation many of the students backed out from
the training. Finally only 120 students after successful training took the final exam on 21st July
2014 the day this report was prepared. Therefore final result of selected candidates could not be
published in this report. Hopefully it will be covered in the next academic report.
