Employability is needed. Without employability ourlearners will struggle to transition and establishthemselves in the labour market.

But, employability is just giving employers what they want.The problem is they dont always know, they change their

minds and the world changes around them. Career development develops long-term flexibility,

resilient, lifelong learners who can be critical when theyneed to.

Career development is what employers and policy makersneed. Even if they dont know it.
