Types of Inspection

• Scheduled– Planned by the inspector – Take place at least every year

• Responsive– Carried out in response to specific information that raises

concerns about compliance– Is targeted to the area of concern

• Themed– Based on particular topics– Looks at a cross-section of services

• Investigations– A more intensive look at a service where there are serious

concerns

All findings will be published

Inspection Report• This is completed after an

inspection.• It will have information about which

outcomes were checked.• It will have a short summary of

what was found.• It will say id the service is compliant

or not compliant.• The report is then published on our

website, but not before the provider has checked it for factual accuracy.
