CENTRAL NAME TAGSWe encourage you to wear thename tags that are stationed inthe Crossing near the 22nd

Avenue entrance. We havemany first time visitors &returning visitors. The name

tags are a great tool to help our community of faithwelcome our visitors. Our community of faith is growingand we want to become a close-knit family. One way todo that is by knowing the name of your church familymember sitting next to you or the neighboring familymember sitting across the room during greeting time!I will be wearing my name tag on Sunday...will you? Kristina(If you do not have a name tag, please let someoneknow at the Welcome Desk or call the church office at601.693.1521 to request one.)

GREETERSGreetings in the Name of the Lord! There is somethingso peaceful when those words are spoken to oneanother. But what's even more welcoming and peacefulis when you walk through the church doors and thereis someone greeting you with a warm smiling face. Thegreeters have one responsibility-to show the love ofChrist through a warm smile and a kind welcome. That's it! If you have been pondering a way that youcould serve the Lord and have not put your finger on itjust yet...put that finger down on being a greeter. Or ifyou like a challenge...be challenge in showing the Loveof Christ to one another. If you would like to be ag r e e t e r , p l e a s e c o n t a c t K r i s t i n a a [email protected] or call her at the church office601.693.1521.

FAMILY LEGACY RETREAT 2015August 28 - 30, 2015 (6 P.M. Friday - 1 P.M. Sunday)

Timber Creek Camp, Pulaski, Mississippi (near Forest)Because of flooding at Timber Creek Camp in March, our Family Legacy Retreat had tobe rescheduled. This spiritual and fun-filled weekend is for CUMC families with childrenages kindergarten and up. (nursery and separate activities are provided for children ages1-4.) 90+ members of our CUMC family attended last year. Several families had schedulingconflicts in March and have expressed an interest in going in August. We do have somespots available. If you are interested in attending and are not already registered, pleasecontact Sabrina at [email protected]. The cost is $80 per person, but in recognizingthe need for families to have time away to focus on "family" and spirituality within thefamily, we are making provisions for cost to be $35 per person, with the church picking upthe remainder of the balance. For more information about the Family Legacy Retreat, visitwww.timbercreekcamp.com or ask someone who attended about their experience! Lookfor more info both in the Crossing and in worship beginning this Sunday. The photo belowis from the 2014 Family Legacy Retreat.
