Electron provides new and advanced technologies in the medical industry by combining innovative ideas and highly experienced medical and engineering teams.

Our medical and development teams work closely together to deliver simple and effective solutions to fundamental health problems with a large focus on cardiology, haemodynamics and ophthalmology.

Our target is to provide innovative solutions in the medical market for the early detection and monitoring of various pathologies. Our medical devices allow clinicians to reduce diagnosis times and costs for hospitals and clinicians in different sectors in the medical care including: general practitioners (GPs), hosp i ta ls , p r i va te c l in ics , c r i t i ca l ca re , accidents and emergency, ambulances and more.

CardioWaves is an advanced stand-alone photoplethysmograph which can monitor the blood flow activity in both the upper and lower limbs.

Cardiowave can be used in many ambulatories for preliminary tests before carrying out expensive and long Doppler ultrasound checks.

Cardiowave

CardioWaves is a partially disposable blood flow sensor which is applied to either a fingertip to monitor the blood flow in the upper limbs or the thumb to monitor the blood flow in the lower limbs. Due to its quick and easy to use hardware and software, the device is used for preliminary tests before carrying out expensive and long Doppler ultrasound checks.

Clinical Trials CardioWaves has been extensively tested for repeatability, sensitivity and accuracy and it has been extensively used during several clinical trials where the results have been successfully published in the notorious world-wide medical magazine “European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences”.

CardioWaves CardioWaves is a high accuracy, sensitivity, partially disposable blood flow device.

CardioWaves is a useful device in the following medical fields: General Practitioners Cardiology Angiology Diabetology Vascular Surgery CardioWaves quickly and easily detects: Blood flow reduction Blood flow blockages Stenosis Monitor stiffness and compliance of the arteries Heart pace

Cardiowave allows clinicians to verify whether the symptoms/disturbances/complaint of the patient, for example while walking, are due to peripheral artery diseases. An example of peripheral artery disease (PAD) can be given by paraesthesia, intermittent claudication, tingling, stenosis, blockages, erectile dysfunction, etc.

Cardiowaves also provides a semi-quantitative evaluation of the pathology, shows clinicians how severe is the reduction of blood flow in the peripheral limbs and has a very sensitive sensor for accurate and reproducible readings which is easily clipped onto the patient's fingers to check blood flow variations on the upper limbs. Cardiowaves will easily clipped onto the patient's toes to check blood flow variations on the lower limbs. It also has a Smart User Interface (SUI) for easy capturing and recording medical data and no technical training is required.
