• Bachelor’s degree students complete three years of preliminary coursework at Piedmont before beginning the one-year professional phase of studies at the CTI in Gainesville, Georgia.
• Certificate-only students must hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a health-related field before entering the one-year professional phase of studies at the CTI in Gainesville, Georgia.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM Cardiovascular Technologists use medical imaging tools to sample and/or record anatomic and physiologic data that help physicians diagnose cardiac (heart) and peripheral vascular (blood vessel) ailments. This program is a collaborative effort between Piedmont College and the Cardiovascular Technology Institute at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. It provides students a blend of traditional classroom-basedinstruction and focused clinical experiences to prepare them for careers in cardiovascular diagnostics. Admission to the program is competitive and not guaranteed.
