Cardiff University lays claim to a proud and rich tradition and iswidely recognised as one of Great seats of Learning in the UK, theUniversity Rugby Club sits within the Welsh Rugby Union structureboasting an impressive list of current and former players. Recenthistory has seen the club gain promotion in successive seasons withtwo of its four teams in the BUCS Leagues gaining promotion andvictories in recent Welsh Varsity Matches.

The club is developing into a recognised centre of rugby excellenceof which the students and people of Cardiff and its surroundingcommunities can be intensely proud. Since the Head of Rugbyposition was introduced, CURFC has continued to developoutstanding player talent base to boost the former greats; Walesand British Lion outside half Gareth Davies, former players include;Wales and British Lions; Graham Price, Bob Nortser, Mike Hall, BillyRaybold, and Jamie Roberts. Welsh Internationals, Rob Sidoli, RobinSowden Taylor, Sam Warburton, Ian Eidman, Gareth Roberts andEnglish Internationals Huw Davies and Tony Swift.

Most recently Cardiff University has produced in excess of 30players capable of launching semi and fully professional rugbyplayers; Damien Welch (Scarlets), Matt Hopper, Gareth Williams

(Harlequins) Adam Brown, James Harries, Tom Cooper (GwentDragons). Welsh Premiership; Aaron Fowler, Ross Wardle, JakeCooper Woolley, Bret Chatwin (Bedwas RFC, Will Jones (Cardiff RFC)and many more who are playing throughout the UK. On aRepresentative front Cardiff University has historically led the way

in Wales with the provision of talent for the Welsh University,Welsh Students and Welsh Academicals squads, the re inclusion ofthe Welsh students XV to the 2011/12 NGB programme will onceagain see the latest group of Cardiff University students gainrepresentative honours.

The ‘GRAHAM PRICE trophy’ is awarded to the Man of the Matchselected by the sponsors after each home game. Sponsors then havethe opportunity to present an eight-inch figure of club icon GrahamPrice, the legendary Welsh International and British lion prop andCardiff University Hall of Fame member who represented CardiffUniversity in the 1976 unbeaten team to the player of their choice.These options offer a great opportunity for high profile advertising at anaffordable cost, providing the following benefits:
