DESCRIPTION
Spring 2012 Freshman Level Project. After realizing the "Storefront" idea was to large of a project for our small time frame. Our professor decided to pick an object from the storefront idea and use that as an alternative. I was asked by my professor to act as a project manager during the construction and completion of this project. He first had me research and analyze fire hydrants from various areas, then using the AutoCAD application I drafted elevation views of a fire hydrant located on campus, and then scaled it up to 12' (our workspace). Roughly 25 students worked on this completing this cardboard project. The Carbondale Fire Department and Southern Illinois University's Child Development Lab were invited to the unveiling of this project in the School of Architecture's Gallery.
