Alvenius manufactures spiral welded carbon steel pipes, coated internally and/or externally with Rilsan® (Polyamide 11) and joined by K10 and K20 couplings. They are used for conveyance of raw, treated water or corrosive fluids, and can be installed underground or in aerial ways in aggressive environments.

This piping presents a technical and economically viable solution compared to stainless steel and other noble metallic alloys, as it associates mechanical strength and durability to agility on assembling, and easy maintenance. It is installed without usage of welding.

The Arkema Group is a French industrial group with three business segments: High Performance Materials, Industrial Specialties, and Coating Solutions. Only in Brazil, Arkema relies on 500 employees, 5 production plants, 3 laboratories, 11 distribution centers and 3 commercial subsidiaries.

Polyamide 11

Polymer produced from renewable raw stock of vegetable origin, ricinus communis (castor oil), it is an environmental-friendly thermoplastic which does not release volatile organic components. Its advanced formulation is free from pigments based on heavy metal or vulcanization agents. Developed decades ago, it is a material with high level of performance and excellent cost-benefit ratio.

Characteristics:• Anticorrosive properties• Smooth surface for optimal flow with low pressure loss• In compliance with the most demanding specifications for contact

with drinkable water• Resistance to wear and cavitation• Low absorption of humidity• Resistance to impact and abrasion• Resistance to UV• Excellent stability at high temperatures• Resistance to chemicals, especially hydrocarbons• Low friction coefficient• Mechanical flexibility• Operating temperature up to 70°C

Applications:• Piping, fittings and accessories (water and effluents treatment plants)• Valves, flanges, couplings, filters, pumps• Piping for injection, test, oil & gas

Ideal for conveying of:

Case studies prove that this solution generates an economy of 30% to 40% compared to stainless steel.

• Vinasse• Landfill leachate• Treated water• Drinkable water

• Sea water• Brine• Domestic sewage• Produced water
