The AGM is a versatile 2-to-4 gas monitor that comes stan-dard with 02 and combustible sensors. The unit can be config-ured to best match your gas detection needs by adding up to twoadditional toxic sensors that include: CO, H2S, DualTox(CO/H2S), CI2, NO2 and SO2.

The AutoCal calibration is true "hands free" calibration withbuilt-in error protection. The AGM will make all adjustmentsand inform the user when the calibration is complete. The dateand time of the successful calibration will be stored in the mem-ory of the AGM and will be displayed during subsequent turn-on sequences. Error protection will display a warning messageand prohibit the calibration of the sensor if incorrect calibrationgas is used or if a sensor is deflective. The removable sensor

cover allows easy access to sensors for simple replacement.The PTO connector allows power connections for a

MINIpump, HILITE, remote read-out accessories and commu-nication for PC interface. The attachable MINIpump allowssamples to be drawn from remote locations. A hydrophobic fil-ter prevents liquid from entering the pump and a low flowalarm and display will warn the user of a sample line blockage.The HILITE alarm is used for high noise environments. Thishigh decibel alarm will sound and display bright "strobe-like"lights when alarm conditions exist. The Remote Readouts (RA-100 and RA-101) consist of a rugged case which will displayreadings that duplicate those of the AGM up to a distance of 50feet. When alarm levels exist, the RA will display them andsound a 100db horn. All AGM models are datalogging ready.Once the unit is connected to a computer the information maybe downloaded to a display date, time of samples and the levelof each gas. This data can be recalled from the PC by operator,date or instrument serial number.

AutoCal TransmittersMPT AutoCal transmitters

are intended for installation re-quiring the continuous monitor-ing of ambient atmospheres orconfined spaces where personnelmight be exposed to toxic, com-bustible, oxygen depleted or en-riched atmosphere.

The MPT AutoCal transmit-ters output 4-20mA signals com-patible with most controller sys-tems and SCADA systems re-gardless or manufacturer.

Transmitters are currentlyavailable for CO, O2, H2S, CH4,NO2, SO2, & CL2. Models forHCN, HCL and NH3 are sched-uled for introduction. Consultfor specifications.

The intrinsically safe MPTAutoCal transmitters are easilycalibrated or zeroed by one tech-nician. Simply attach the calconnector and flow gas. Removethe cal connector when the greenlight on the transmitter relightsindicating the instrument isfunctioning properly.

• DISPLAY: The large, high quality (4 x 16character) LCD can be set to read onetransmitter or to scan through all trans-mitters simultaneously. If an alarm occurswhile in the SCAN mode the unit will dis-play only the channel(s) registering analarm condition

The Model 335 Oxygen Monitoris designed to accurately measurethe oxygen concentration in suchapplications as control rooms,closed atmospheres, critical breath-ing circuits, and other situationsthat require the fail safe monitor-ing of ambient air. The AC poweredinstrument is provided with a pow-er fail back up system consisting of2 NiCad battery packs maintainedon a “trickle” charge. Primary pow-er interruption and sequential bat-tery operation is signalled by illu-mination of a LOW AC panel light.Illumination LOW BATT light indi-cates that the batteries have beendischarged to a dangerous level.

Two oxygen alarms can be set:CAUTION (20% oxygen) and DAN-GER (19.5% oxygen). Both alarmset points are factory set internallyto prevent tampering or resettingby unauthorized personnel. Whenan insufficient oxygen concentra-tion triggers an alarm, both the redpanel light and an audible enuncia-tor are energized. The alarms re-main energized until the oxygenconcentration has been elevatedabove the trigger point.

As the handle is pulled (just like a syringe), a precisely-measuredvolume of ambient air is drawn inside the tube where it contacts thereagent.

Instantly, the reagent changes color. The reagent reacts quantita-tively to provide a length-of-stain indication. The farther the color-stain travels along the tube, the higher the concentration of gas. Notethe calibration mark on the tube at the point where the color stainstops, and that’s the measurement. Investigator’s Gas Detector

The Model 850 Investigator’s Gas Detector incorporates advanced signal processing tech-niques in combination with a ruggedly constructed detector to bring you the most advancedsurvey tool available. This unit will detect the presence of hydrocarbons that may be at the firescene and is equally effective as general purpose gas detector. It is capable of detecting gasleaks of less than 1cu. ft. per year or gas concentration of less than 50 parts per million. TheModel 850 is simple to operate: simply pull out retractile sensor probe, allow several minutesfor warm up, then scan area of concern holding sensor approximately 1/2" from suspect mater-ial while observing meter. If a hydrocarbon is present, a deflection of the meter will occur, fol-lowed by a series of beep tones in synchronism with two indicator lights (red LED’s). The moreaerosol born particles that exist, the more volatile the hydrocarbon is and the faster the beepwill become. The Model 850 is equipped with a high/low range switch that permits detection ofextremely small amount of hydrocarbon. Because the 850 has a retractile probe sensor, it canbe easily used while walking around an area of concern. This feature makes the 850 useful asa survey tool for detecting leaking underground storage tanks (LUST) or gasoline leaks thathave seeped into sewer lines. The 850 is equally effective for detecting methane out gassing,inspecting pipelines and a host of other applications.

measure CO2 in harsh and humid environments. Thehousing is dust and waterproof to NEMA 4/IP65 stan-dards avd materials are corrosion resistant.

Optimal measurement range for each appli-cation

The user has a choice of measurement ranges up to20% CO2: the GMT221 for higher concentrations of CO2.The transmitter can be connected to various measure-ment systems. In addition to standard analog, voltageand current outputs, there are also two configurablealarm relay outputs. Activated relays are indicated byLED lights on the cover. An optional LonWorks® digitalinterface is also available.Interchangeable probes

The GMT220 probes are truly interchangeable. Theycan be removed and reattached or replaced at any time -without the need for calibration and adjustment. Theprobes can be attached directly to the transmitter bodyor, when used with a cable, installed remotely intohard-to-reach places or areas with dangerously highlevels of CO2.Simple Installation

CO2 Ventilation RecorderMeasuring carbon dioxide in ppm readings is a good

way to check for acceptable levels of ventilation withina building. ASHRAE standard 62-1989 states that CO2concentrations of no more than 1,000 ppm are recom-mended for an occupied space with a correspondingventilation rate of 15 cfm per person.

ORDERING INFORMATION

The UniGas 3000 and 4000 are compact, palm-held flue gas analyzers that permit combustionanalysis, boiler tuning, emissions monitoring andauxiliary test and inspections. Two electrochemi-cal sensors read the Oxygen (O2) and CarbonMonoxide (CO) concentrations. These values, com-bined with the flue gas and combustion air temp-eratures, are used to calculate the efficiency, ex-cess air and CO2. Natural gas, LPG, diesel andfuel oil are the four most common fuels to be mea-sured, yet six more fuels can be programmed to bemeasured by the user. Additional sensors are usedto measure the pollutant NO, NO2 or SO2 as maybe required.

Additional external probes allow the operator tomake ambient measurements of room tempera-ture and relative humidity, ambient CO safetychecks and CH4 analysis for leak detection. Othermodes include draft measurement, report print-ing, datalogging and PC interface. One recharge-able battery pack powers both the instrument andthe printer.

Its semiconductor sensor responds instantaneouslyto all combustible gases, allowing you to pinpoint thesource of the gas leak or to verify the work you've justcompleted is leak free.

The Model 9822 Helium Detector is easy to oper-ate. Once turned on the instrument automaticallybegins sampling in the continuous mode. A calibra-tion cycle will be performed automatically every 15minutes while the device is being operated. The Digital Gas Leak Detector is a microprocessor controlledmultigas monitor that has been miniaturized, producing a hand-held instrument capable of detecting very small gas leaks quickly,safely, and without risk of contamination.

There are two models of the detector available. The EPD-3000and EPD-5000 models is certified for use in flammable atmos-pheres. The instruments display is principally calibrated to quanti-fy Helium leaks in ml/sec, but it has the ability to detect other gas-es. Advanced software features on both models allow the user toprogram the unit to auto-range, to hold maximum readings, and toscreen out interference from background gases.

The EPD-3000 is calibrated against Helium (He) and displaysonly in ml/sec. This means that although other gases are detected,the displayed readings relate only to Helium.

The HD-1003 is a real-time personal dust monitorwith an internal air sampling pump that is micro-processor controlled. This allows for large data stor-age and on screen statistical calculations. The de-tached sensor is miniaturized and easily attaches tothe individual’s lapel for true breathing zone mea-surements. The sensor is further improved by the ad-dition of optional interchangeable sampling heads forrespirable, thoracic and inhalable particulates. The mini-Buck™ Calibrators are microprocessor-con-trolled and provide accurate and instant readout of flowrate. Since the flow rate is calculated electronically, ac-curate measurements at any altitude are possible with-in ±0.5%. With the soap film solution contained in aspill-resistant flow cell, the mini-Buck is portable forfield operation and ready to use with just a push of abutton.

The mini-Buck Calibrators use an established andhighly accurate method to measure th flow rate of airsampling pumps. The calibrator is connected to thepump or other flow device by tubing. When the flow isactivated, a thin soap film travels upward within asmall, precision flow cell. The Model 7500 RF Field Strength Analyzeris the world's first portable instrument to com-bine the functionality of a graphic spectrumanalyzer, frequency counter, and tunable RFmonitor in a 1.5 pound, hand-held instrument.Its wide 100 kHz to 2060 MHz frequency rangecovers mobile, PCS, cellular and cordlessphones, AM, FM, TV, amateur, satellite, aero-nautical, and marine frequencies.

Compatibility with AM, single side band(SSB), and narrow or wide band FM, plus a fre-quency counter mode, make the Model 7500ideal for a variety of RF signal detection andverification tests. The 7500 operates non-inva-sively by sensing RF fields through a compactwhip antenna (included).

The 800 MHz antenna can be removedfor direct connection to a signal source, orchanged to permit optimal matching to otherfrequencies.

Technicians can predefine and store tests so thatthey may run quickly at a test site.

The unit can also compare the difference instrength of signals on two separate frequencies. Aninternal, push-button-selectable, -10 dB attenuatorenables input sensitivity to be adjusted in order to ex-tend measurement range. A demodulator and speak-er or headphone jack provide audio output for AM, FMor SSB signals at a user-controlled marker frequency.
