CARBIDE cut-off machine
GRINDSTAR presents the semi – automatic
CARBIDE cut-off machine
Application
Used to cut blank Carbide/HSS rods to a precise specific length. With this partially automatic CARBIDE cut–off machine, cutting of carbide/ HSS rods is simpler for tools manufacturing industries.
With the intent to match the demands of Tool manufacturing industries both in terms of Quality and production rate, the semi – automatic CARBIDE cut–off machine matches the requirements with ease.
Carbide rods cut to specific lengths as per the requirement

Highlights
Faster – With both clamping and feeding
automatic, cutting is faster and precise as it is operator-free.
– The machine is provided with fine adjusting butting block to avoid measuring length manually after each cycles at the same time to ensure precise length cuts.
– With major parameters being set automatically all you just need to do is push a button to obtain an accurate and precise cut.
– Rapid movement of arm Swing until feed with setting in rapid to feed changeover for various diameters.
– With rpm in abundance optimum feed rate can be set for faster cuts.
– No set–up change required for the range of diameters
Faster means AHEAD Quick Highlights
› Cutting with just a push of button › Preset length setting butting block › Rapid to feed changeover › Adjustable feed via brake cylinder › No set–up change
Highlights
Safer & Precise – With feed being automatic and
adjustable there is no risk of feed variation resulting in wheel breakage as in case of manual feed.
– Care taken during emergency stop situations ensuring the wheel safety.
– Machine is provided with full enclosure. However easy access is provided to the machine elements for regular maintenance.
– Two handed push button for operator safety.
– Automated feed helps to achieve the required precision helping to achieve better cycle time.
– No supervision of skilled labour required to check the feed rate during each cycles
On the Mark, EVERYTIME Quick Highlights
› Better cycle time due to automated clamping and feed › No risk of wheel breakage › Full machine enclosure › Two handed push button › No supervision of skilled labour
Highlights
Rigid & Economic – Ample clamping force with 2 point
contact holding in addition to the clamping force.
– Clamping on either sides of the wheel avoiding component chip–off.
– With large bearing span, greater is the spindle rigidity permitting larger feed rate.
– With just a floor space of ______X_______ the machine is compact and economical.
– The filtration system is such that the accumulated carbide dust can be processed further to obtain carbide rods.
Quick Highlights
› Rigid clamping › Clamping on either sides of the wheel › More spindle rigidity › Less floor space
Accessories
Coolant & filtration system – The machine is provided with surge coolant
system. – Coolant helps in increasing the tool life and
at the same time burning of carbide is eliminated.
– Coolant also helps in accumulation of carbide dust which is further processed to obtain carbide rods.
– Filtration system includes 5µm bag filter.
Accessories, ENHANCE Quick Highlights
› Surge coolant system › Increase in tool life › Eliminating burning of carbide
› Accumulation of carbide dust › 5µm bag filter › Source for blowing of fixture area
PREMIER in its range
› Automatic clamping › With manual clamping the operator just
cannot maintain a precise clamping force and cycle time for each cycles.
› Automatic feed – no operator required › With manual feed the operator is required
to continuously provide the cutting force by his hand
› Automatic feed – with feed setting › With manual feed the operator is required
to provide a consistent feed which is very difficult and it completely depends on the skill of the operator
› Unskilled operator is sufficient › Skilled operator is required as feed rate is
a critical parameter which may lead to wheel breakage
› No risk of wheel breakage › Wheel breakage chances depends on the skill of the operator
› Low cycle time › Cycle time depends on the operator
