MeteringSmart card

With the industry favoured reconditioned card meter fastly becoming obsolete and

extremely expensive to replace, RMCS offer a Smart Card metering solution for

electricity. The user is issued with an intelligent smart card which is charged with

credit via an electronic read/write head in the office. The card is then inserted

into the meter where credit is removed with a refund card and taken back to the

office and any available credit refunded. This type of metering has the ability to

service one electrical socket with the capability of four meters per pedestal or

hook up unit.

User friendly PC software charges a reusable card which is inserted into the meter to

gain credit. Any amount can be added, from just £1.00. Simply install the software onto your

PC, log-in, create an account, set up a unit price and add/refund credit, it’s that simple.

This system is ideal for both short and long term users with the added bonus of a full refund facility

or clear down as required, thus making the NEW Smart Card meter a versatile and practical option.

We can supply adapter plates (for a small charge) to replace

currently installed re-conditioned card meters to allow for

installation of the NEW smart card meters at approximately

the same cost to currently source re-conditioned card meters.

We understand that each Caravan Park is unique so our Touring Units are built to

meet our customers’ requirements.

All Touring Units are fitted with 16amp IP44 sockets as standard. Upgrades to

32amp sockets are available.

Each socket in our Touring Unit is protected by its own RCBO or MCB and RCD.

RCBO or MCB and RCD protection for the 16amp Sockets is available in 6amp,

10amp and 16amp. If you require 32amp Sockets the RCBO or MCB and RCD

will be rated at 32amp.

The RCBO or MCB and RCD is visual through the Reset Flap which is on the

front of the Touring Unit. This allows the camper or site owner to gain

access to the RCBO or MCB and RCD to reset the trip if it goes off. Reset

Flaps are also available with locks so only key owners can have access

to the RCBO or MCB and RCD.

Read only and card metering can also be housed within the

Touring Unit and is available to suit your needs.

We offer a wide range of Hook Up Units for Static Caravans.

Static Units can be fitted with 16amp IP44 sockets or if required they can be manufactured

as a direct connection unit. Upgrades to 32amp sockets/direct connection are available.

Each socket/direct connection in our Static Unit is protected by its own RCBO. A RCBO is a

combined MCB and RCD. RCBO protection is available in 6amp, 10amp and 16amp. If you

require 32amp sockets the RCBO will be rated at 32amp.

MCB/RCD protection is also available.

The RCBO is visual through the Reset Flap which is on the front of the Static Unit. This allows

the camper or site owner to gain access to the RCBO to reset the trip if it goes off. Reset Flaps

are also available with locks so only key owners can have access to the RCBO.

Read only and card metering can also be housed on the Static Unit and

this is available to suit your needs.

PedestalsSterlingThe Sterling Pedestal is constructed from one slender moulded piece of

aluminium extrusion complete with a composite front panel. The

slenderness of the Sterling Pedestal makes it an ideal solution in restricted

positions.

The aluminium extrusion is anodised to 25microns (industry standard is 15)

and carries a 5 year anti-corrosion warranty.

The front panel is constructed from composite material which made up of

two aluminium sheets bonded to a polyethylene core. This material is UV

stable and can withstand the harshest environments. The composite panel

carries a 3 year anti-corrosion warranty.

Pedestals are available in the following sizes: 750mm, 1000mm and 1200mm.

PedestalsPlatinumThe Platinum Pedestal is constructed from aluminium extruded sides and composite

PedestalsRSP

The Rollins Service Pedestal is the latest addition to the Rollins Marine and

Caravan Services Product Portfolio.

The pedestal is manufactured from a polyethylene chassis which holds the

electrical switchgear. Fixed around this are two composite “shells”. The

composite material is made up of two 0.3mm aluminium sheets bonded to

a polyethylene core. This material is ideally suited to caravan environments

in all climates.

Pedestals are available in the following sizes: 750mm, 1000mm and

1200mm.

The Original Pedestal is the ideal solution for Caravan Parks on a budget.

Manufactured from an internal galvanised steel chassis which is encased

by two UV stabilised foamex material shells.

The Original Pedestal comes complete with a lighting diffuser and lid

and Energy Saving Photocell Controlled Lighting as standard but this

can be upgraded to brighter LED lighting at an additional cost if required.

Pedestals are available in the following sizes: 500mm, 750mm, 1000mm and 1200mm.

MeteringRMCS appreciates that revenue from electricity is high on the agenda. We have various solutions:

Read Only MetersRead only meters are a cost effective addition to Caravan Hook Up Units and Service Pedestals. They monitor the units of electric consumed by a socket. By taking the end reading from the start reading you can calculate the amount of electric used.

Card Meters - with Disposable CardsCard meters can be installed in our Touring Units, Static Units and Platinum Service Pedestals. The card meters are programmed with the unit price of electric and credit is added to the card meters by disposable pre-paid cards. Once the credit on the pre-paid card has been loaded on to the meter the card can then be disposed of. Once the amount of credit that has been added to the meter has been used then the customer would need to purchase a further meter card to get further electric supplied.

Smart Card MeteringRMCS offer a Smart Card metering solution for electricity. RFID Standalone/Network MeteringRMCS have developed a new metering system that has the ability to allow individual users to control services on pedestals with the use of a touchscreen and fob. The system is designed to work simply, efficiently and is a cost effective solution for the re-charging of electrical and water services.An office based software application has the ability to take full control of the system via a simple VB application. Staff can simply log into the system and quickly identify the users berth to operate water and electric services and add credit at users discretion at a click of a button. The system can operate in credit or pre-payment mode to allow for monthly, weekly or daily billings. Payment can be made separately for water and electrical services, for example, £10.00 could be added to a water and £50.00 to an electrical account. Any remaining credit can be refunded

at the office or returned to the fob by the user.

Lighting

Hook Up Unit Lighting

We offer a competitive lighting kit which can be fitted

to hook up units. This lighting can be an alternative to

having separate lighting units.

Pedestal Lighting

All of our Power Pedestals have the option to have

lighting in them. We offer a standard energy saving option

and also an LED option. The lighting is controlled via a

photocell to ensure hassle free usage.

Lighting Pedestals

Our Pedestals can be utilised as Lighting Pedestals. This then enables the caravan site owner to keep all

pedestals looking identical. Again we offer standard 18watt energy saving light or 4 watt LED Lighting. As an

addition option we offer LED down light which is underneath the lighting head and this shines down in the

front or rear of the pedestal and shines on to the ground creating a lighted area in front of the pedestal.

Low Level Lighting

We currently have a wide range of low level lighting ranging from wooden lighting bollards

to stainless steel bollards.

High Level Lighting

Some larger caravan sites benefit from having high level lighting which illuminates a

larger area and is ideal near toilet blocks and buildings.

Rollins Caravan Services offer a number of solutions to assist with the need to have the

most efficient emergency equipment on site.

Wall mounted Fire StationA Fire Box which houses a Fire Extinguisher and is wall mountable.

Also available is a twin Fire Station which can house two Fire Extinguishers.

This Fire Station can also be mounted to a post which is concreted into

the ground.

Budget SOS StationOur Budget SOS Station consists of a Fire Box which houses a 6kg Dry

Powder Fire Extinguisher. On the other side of the Station is a 30”

Lifebuoy. A Throw Line can also be added to this.

Platinum SOS Pedestal Our specially designed Platinum SOS Pedestal has the strength and

durability of our Platinum Pedestal, but for the SOS version we have made

the Pedestal wider to allow it to house a number of emergency equipment

items. The Platinum SOS Pedestal has the option to add Photocell

Controlled Standard Lighting or LED Lighting.

/ Barrier SystemsGate EntryAt RMCS we have had many years’ experience in reliable Gate Entry Systems, including

systems designed for car parks, security gates and door access controls to facility buildings.

We have a range of access systems to suit every budget ranging from a simple push button

entry system to bespoke systems which can track customer movements and can control

which area users are allowed to access.

Access Control Systems can be used in conjunction with RMCS metering solutions where

one card/fob can allow users full access to the above as well as individual control of their own

water and electrical services on their berth. RMCS also has the manufacturing capability to

turn basic ideas for gates and barriers into a package for clients whether it be a high security

sliding gate or an attractive glass door and surround.

We recognise the importance of site security and CCTV is a proven deterrent against crime.

Whilst it is able to monitor access to secure areas and site perimeters, it also provides

added personal security where security personnel are not employed.

RMCS can provide solutions that include wired CCTV cameras, IP CCTV (multiple sites

can be monitored remotely), covert cameras, motion detection cameras and low light

or day/night cameras. We can integrate these systems with access control or vehicular

access. Vehicle Number Plate Recognition Cameras (VNPR cameras), which may

be incorporated into an access control system, allow specified vehicles

into the site.

DistributionMainsNo matter what your requirements we can carry out design, installation or supply

only of products. We can service, supply and maintain transformers, design

bespoke mains panels and distribution units from 100amp to 2000amp.

All designs are fully compliant to 17th Edition wiring regulations and are designed

with the aid of computerised calculations. We can supply cabling, installation using

our in house teams, final commissioning and testing to 17th edition Regulations.

All works are warranted for 12 months after the date of sale.

Warranties

AftercareRMCS prides itself on its efficient aftercare service. Each project whether it be supply only or a full installation,

has its own individual Project Manager or Sales Staff member to deal with the customer requirements.

These Project Managers and Sales Staff are always available to answer any queries and deal with any

problems which may arise, usually within 24 hours.

Once major projects are completed, we schedule a follow up call one month after

completion to ensure that everything is running satisfactory and to see if the

customer has any queries.

Repairs, spares or follow up visits are usually carried out within

a 5 day period, therefore ensuring that customers have no

problems that affect the day to day running of their

business or inconvenience them

or their customers.

All RMCS products come complete with a 12 month warranty on all components but the following warranties also apply:

Electrical Components: One year from date of sale to customer

RSP Pedestals: Three years warranty from date of sale to the customer against

manufacturing faults on the composite material (outer shells)

Sterling & Platinum Pedestals: Five year warranty from date of sale to customer against corrosion

As with all products, maintenance and regular inspections should be carried out and any damaged items

should be repaired or replaced as soon as possible.

Through working closely with our suppliers, RMCS can offer an extended warranty on all electronic and electrical

components at an additional cost. We have found that the option of this extended warranty can offer peace of mind to

caravan park owners for their investment.
