Failure to properly use this car seat increases the risk ofserious injury or death in a sharp turn, sudden stop orcrash. Your child’s safety depends on you installing andusing this car seat correctly.Even if using this car seat seems easy to figure out onyour own, it is very important to READ THE OWNER’SMANUAL and the vehicle owner’s manual.Your child’s safety depends on:1. Choosing the correct mode of use for the car

seat depending on your child’s size.2. Inserting the harness straps (if needed) in the

proper slots for your child.3. Selecting a suitable location for the car seat in

your vehicle.4. Properly routing the vehicle seat belt or properlyusing LATCH.

5. Properly securing the car seat in the vehicleusing a seat belt designed to restrain both the carseat and your child or by using LATCH. Many seatbelts are NOT safe to use with this car seat, eventhough they can easily be threaded through oraround the car seat!

If an air baginflates, it can hit the child andbooster seat with great forceand cause serious injury ordeath to your child. Refer toyour vehicle owner’s manual forinformation about side air bagsand booster seat installation.

• According to accident statistics, CHILDREN ARESAFER WHEN PROPERLY RESTRAINED INREAR VEHICLE SEATING POSITIONS, RATHERTHAN FRONT SEATING POSITIONS. For a vehiclewith a front passenger air bag, refer to your vehicleowner’s manual as well as these instructions for carseat installation.

• NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED.• NEVER LEAVE A CAR SEAT UNSECURED INYOUR VEHICLE. An unsecured car seat can bethrown around and may injure occupants in a sharpturn, sudden stop or crash. Remove it or make surethat it is securely belted in the vehicle. If not usingLATCH, make sure LATCH connectors are properlystored on back of seat.

• REPLACE THE CAR SEAT AFTER AN ACCIDENTOF ANY KIND. An accident can cause damage tothe car seat that you cannot see.

• STOP USING CAR SEAT AND THROW IT AWAYafter the date molded into the back of the car seat.

• DO NOT MODIFY YOUR CAR SEAT or use anyaccessories or parts supplied by other manufacturers.

• NEVER USE CAR SEAT IF IT HAS DAMAGED ORMISSING PARTS. DO NOT use a cut, frayed ordamaged car seat harness, LATCH belt or vehicleseat belt.

• THE CAR SEAT CAN BECOME VERY HOT IFLEFT IN THE SUN. Contact with these parts canburn your child’s skin. Always touch the surface ofany metal or plastic parts before putting your childin the car seat.

• THIS CHILD RESTRAINT CONFORMS to allapplicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standardsand is certified for use in motor vehicles. It iscertified for use in Aircraft ONLY when used withthe built-in harness. When used as a boosterwithout the harness, this restraint is NOT certifiedfor use in aircraft.

• NEVER GIVE THIS CAR SEAT to someone elsewithout also giving them this manual.

• NEVER USE A SECOND-HAND CAR SEAT or acar seat whose history you do not know.

FAILURE TO USE CAR SEAT IN A MANNERAPPROPRIATE FOR YOUR CHILD’S SIZE MAYINCREASE THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY ORDEATH. Instructions for the use of this car seatand your vehicle’s seat belt differ greatly dependingon the size of your child. Be sure you are using thecar seat in the correct mode and with the correctfeatures for your child.

4.2 Height and Weight Limitations

4.2.1 WITH Built in HarnessYour child MUST meet all requirements:• WEIGHT: 20 to 40 lbs (9 to 18 kg)• HEIGHT: 27 to 43 inches (69 to

109 cm)• At least one year old and can sit

upright unassisted• Shoulders are BELOW top

harness slots. If shoulders areabove top harness slots, child istoo large for built-in harness.

4.2.2 WITHOUT Built in HarnessYour child MUST meet all requirements:• WEIGHT: 30 to 100 lbs

(14 to 45 kg)• HEIGHT: 35 to 54 inches

(89 to 138 cm)• Child’s ears are BELOW top

of booster seat. If tops of earsare above top of seat, child istoo large for booster seat.

If child is between 30 and 40 lbs and shouldersare below the upper harness slots, we highlyrecommend use of the built-in harness for as longas it is suitable and comfortable (up to 40 lbs).

• Children are safer when properly restrained inrear vehicle seating positions. Whenever possiblesecure the car seat in the center position of the seatdirectly behind the front seats. However, this positionis often equipped with alap belt only and cannotbe used when this carseat is used without thebuilt-in harness.

• The vehicle seat must face forward.

5.0 Car Seat Location5.1 Vehicle Seat Requirements

IMPROPER PLACEMENT OF THE CAR SEATINCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURYOR DEATH. Some seating positions in your vehiclemay not be safe for this car seat. Some vehicles donot have any seating positions that can be usedsafely with the car seat. If you are not sure whereto place the car seat in your vehicle, consult yourvehicle owner’s manual or call Graco Children'sProducts Inc., 1-800-345-4109.

• Front of car seat must not hangover edge of vehicle seat.

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMSTO SECURE THE CAR SEAT. LATCH can be used INPLACE OF the following unsafe belt systems if yourvehicle is equipped with LATCH anchor points. NEVERUSE unsafe belt systems. Please refer to the vehicleowners manual for LATCH locations.

• Lap Belts with EmergencyLocking Retractor (ELR)This lap belt stays loose andcan move until it locks in acrash or sudden stop.

5.2 Vehicle Seat BeltRequirements

MANY SEAT BELT SYSTEMS ARE NOT SAFE TOUSE WITH THE CAR SEAT. THE VEHICLE SEATBELT MUST BE DESIGNED TO HOLD THE CARSEAT TIGHTLY AT ALL TIMES.Pay careful attention to these systems; some of theseat belts that are not safe to use look very muchlike seat belts that are safe to use. If you areunsure, consult your vehicle owner’s manual or callGraco Children's Products Inc., 1-800-345-4109.

5.2.1 UNSAFE VehicleBelt Systems

5.2.2 SAFE Vehicle BeltSystems

• Lap Belts - Manually AdjustedWhen buckled, the belt is tightened manually bypulling on the excess belt.

• Lap Belts with Automatic Locking Retractor (ALR)The automatic locking retractor will not permit the lapbelt to lengthen once it is buckled. Tighten the beltby feeding the belt back into the retractor whilepushing down hard on the car seat.

THE FOLLOWING BELT SYSTEMS CAN BE USEDWITH YOUR CAR SEAT, IF the seat location meetsall other requirements of these instructions and thosein your vehicle owner's manual. LATCH can be used inplace of the following vehicle belt systems if yourvehicle is equipped with LATCH anchor points. Pleaserefer to vehicle owners manual for LATCH locations.

• Combination Lap/Shoulder Belt with LockingLatch PlateOnce it is buckled, this type of belt has a latchplatethat will not allow the lap portion of the belt to loosen.Belt is tightened by pulling hard on the shoulderportion of the vehicle belt while pushing down hardon the car seat.

• Combination Lap/Shoulder Belt with SlidingLatch PlateThis belt has a latchplate that slides freely alongthe belt.

WITH Built-in harness: This belt MUST beconverted to prevent movement of the lapportion of the belt. You must usethe locking clip provided with thecar seat, unless your vehicle's seatbelt can be converted in anotherway as described in your vehicleowner's manual.WITHOUT Built-in harness: Conversion or lockingclip are not needed.

To Install Locking Clip:1. Tighten the buckledbelt by pushing downhard on the car seatand pulling hard on theshoulder belt.2. While pushing downon seat, pinch the twostraps together behindthe buckle tongue.Unbuckle the belt withoutallowing it to slip.3. Connect lap andshoulder belts asshown �.4. Rebuckle belt. Checkthat lap belt does notmove by pulling hard. Ifbelt loosens or lengthens,repeat procedure.Remove locking clip whennot using car seat. Storeunder it’s tab on the backof seat.

With LATCH

Newer vehicles have one or more seating positionswith LATCH anchorage systems. If vehicle is equippedwith LATCH, the vehicle lower anchor points may bevisible at the vehicle seat crease. If not visible, theymay be marked with the symbol below �.

See your vehicle owner’s manual for exactlocations, anchor identification, and requirementsfor use with a car seat.

Typical seat in a passenger vehicle. Other vehicletypes may have different LATCH locations.

Check vehicle owner’s manual for vehicle top tetheranchor locations. They may be identified using oneof the anchor symbols as shown above � or �.ONLY use LATCH on a car seat in a seating positionrecommended by vehicle manufacturer.

6.0 Using Car Seat WITHBuilt-in Harness

6.1 Positioning the HarnessStraps

FAILURE TO PROPERLY ADJUST THE HARNESSSTRAPS FOR YOUR CHILD INCREASES THE RISKOF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT OFA SHARP TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH.Snugly adjust the belts provided with this child restraintaround your child. A snug strap should not allow anyslack. It lies in a relatively straight line without sagging.It does not press on the child’s flesh or push the child’sbody into an unnatural position.

1. Open harness clip �.

2. Unbuckle harnessstraps �.

3. Place child in the seat.

4. Check the crotch strap.Choose the position thatis closest to but not underyour child.To move the strap:Reach under seat andpush the metal retainerup through the slotsideways �. Place theretainer in the appropriateslot. Pull on buckle tomake sure it is secure.

5. The harness strapsmust go into the slotseven with or just abovethe shoulders�.

6. If straps are in the properslots, go to step 11 onpage 21.

7. To adjust harnessstraps: Remove strapsfrom metal junctionplate �.

8. Pull strap ends throughslots and reinsert themin the correct slots �as determined in step 5,page 19.

9. Reassemble straps ontometal junction plateexactly as shown �.Check that straps arecompletely within theslots.

10. Check that the straps areinserted at the same leveland that they are nottwisted. Pull on harnessto make sure it issecure.

Harness AdjustmentLoosen the harnessstraps by fully pushing inthe red adjustment buttonon the front of the seatand pulling the straps outat the shoulders asshown �.(See also Section 6.3,Securing Your Child in theCar Seat, page 26.)REMEMBER to checkthe shoulder and crotchstraps as your childgrows and move themto the next positionwhen necessary.

6.2 Securing the Car Seat inYour Vehicle

FAILURE TO PROPERLY SECURE THE CAR SEATIN THE VEHICLE INCREASES THE CHILD’S RISKOF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT OFA SHARP TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH.Carefully follow these instructions and those in yourvehicle owner’s manual to be sure your car seat isproperly located, positioned, and held tightly at all times.

1. Place the car seat firmlyagainst the back of aforward-facing vehicleseat.

2. Thread the seat belt:

For Lap/Shoulder belt

For Lap-only belt

3. Buckle the vehicle belt.The vehicle belt shouldnot be twisted or turned.

6.2.1 With a Vehicle Lap orLap/Shoulder Belt:

Store LATCH. See Section 8.2, Storing LATCH, page 32.

4. Tighten vehicle seat beltPush down hard with yourknee or free hand in themiddle of the car seat �.Then pull and tighten thevehicle belt.For more information onhow to tighten the beltfor your seat belt system,see Section 5.2 VehicleSeat Belt Requirements,pp. 12-17, or your vehicleowner’s manual.

5. If you want to usetether to hold seat inplace, secure it now.See Section 8.1 Usingthe Tether, page 31.When not using thetether, hook it on thetether storage bar onthe back of the seat.

6. Safety Check forSecure InstallationPerform this test every timeyou drive with your child.Twist and pull car seat frontto back and left to right tocheck that seat is secure �.Vehicle belt must staytight. Car seat must bevery tight.If car seat is not secure orloose, repeat procedure ORfind another location for theseat, see Section 5.0 CarSeat Location, pp. 11-17.

1. For ease of installation,extend LATCH to itsmaximum length.

2. Place the car seat firmlyagainst the back of aforward-facing vehicleseat.

3. Thread LATCHthrough the beltpath normally usedfor the vehicle seatbelt �.Belt must lay flatand not be twisted.

4. Hook LATCHConnectors to vehiclelower anchors. Pullfirmly on Connectorsto be sure they areattached �.

5. Tighten LATCH bypushing down hard oncar seat and pulling theadjustment belt �.

6. NEVER put two LATCHconnectors on onevehicle LATCH anchorunless specificallyallowed by themanufacturer �.

7. All LATCH seatingpositions have tetheranchors. Secure thetop of the seat using thetether strap. See Section8.1 Using the Tether,page 31.When not using thetether, hook it on thetether storage bar onthe back of the seat.

8. Safety Check forSecure InstallationPerform this test everytime you drive with yourchild.Twist and pull car seatfront to back and left toright to check that seat issecure �. LATCH beltmust stay tight. Carseat must be very tight.If car seat is not secure,repeat procedure OR findanother location for theseat, see Section 5.0 CarSeat Location, pp. 11-17.

6.3 Securing Your Child in theCar Seat

FAILURE TO PROPERLY SECURE YOUR CHILDIN THE CAR SEAT INCREASES THE RISK OFSERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT OFA SHARP TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH.In a crash, the car seat provides NO protection foryour child unless the harness straps are properlysecured. Follow these instructions carefully toproperly secure your child.

• ADJUST THE HARNESS SYSTEM SNUGLYEVERY TIME you place your child in the car seat.

• Avoid bulky clothing.

3. Pull the adjustment strapto securely tighten theharness �.

4. Fasten harness clip �.Position harness clipat middle of child’s chest,level with armpits.

5. Make sure straps areflat and tight againstchild’s shoulders. Asnug strap should notallow any slack. It lies ina relatively straight linewithout sagging. It doesnot press on the child’sflesh or push the child’sbody into an unnaturalposition �.

7.0 Using Car Seat WITHOUTBuilt-in Harness

7.1 Harness Removal

1. Remove harness strapsfrom metal junctionplate. See figure 5 onpage 19 for more help.Pull the straps throughharness slots. Do notremove buckles orharness clip fromstraps �.Push straps, bucklesand harness clip throughbottom of seat.

2. Remove crotch strap.See figure 3 on page 19for more help.Buckle crotch strap toharness and fastenharness clip togetherfor storage.

3. Metal junction plateand strap are notremovable. Push in redadjustment button andpull strap to rear of seat�. Snap junction platein back of seat �.

4. Store LATCH. SeeSection 8.2, StoringLATCH, page 32.

5. Reverse instructions toreinstall. See figure 1 onpage 39 for the correctpath for the harness.

1. Place car seat firmly against the backof a forward-facing vehicle seatequipped with a lap/shoulder belt only.

2. If you want to use tether to holdseat in place, secure it now. SeeSection 8.1 Using the Tether, page 31.

3. Place child in car seat with child’sback flat against back of car seat.

4. Position lap/shoulder beltas shown�. Fasten buckleand pull up on the shoulderbelt to tighten.

5. If belt lays across child’sneck, head or face,redirect belt across chestusing the shoulder beltpositioner. Thread vehicleshoulder belt through oneof the three positionersexactly as shown �.Adjust positioner ashigh as possible withoutshoulder belt touchingchild’s neck.

6. Check that shoulder belt isproperly positioned overshoulder and snug against child.A snug strap should not allow anyslack. It lies in a relatively straightline without sagging. It does notpress on the child’s flesh or pushthe child’s body into an unnaturalposition

1. Check that tether issecurely attached tocar seat.

2. Fasten tether clip toanchor point �.

3. Tighten the tetherstrap securely �.

4. Check car seat tightnessafter securing tether.If necessary, retightenvehicle seat belt whenused with the built-inharness.

5. To loosen, lift up onthe metal tongue ofthe buckle �.

All LATCH seating positions have tether anchors. If youwant to use the tether, check your vehicle owner’smanual for the location(s). If your vehicle is notequipped with a tether anchor, it may be possibleto install one. Contact your vehicle dealership for theproper anchor location and installation. You maypurchase a tether anchor parts kit by calling GracoCustomer Service at 1-800-345-4109.

8.3 Airplane Use

This restraint is certified for use in Motor Vehicles. It iscertified for use in Aircraft ONLY when used with thebuilt-in harness. When used as a booster withoutthe harness, this restraint is NOT certified for usein aircraft because there is no shoulder belt available.Important points to remember1. Airlines have some restrictions about the use of

car seats.2. Install your car seat on an airplane in the same way

9.0 Care and Maintenance• CONTINUOUS USE OF CAR SEAT MAY CAUSEDAMAGE TO VEHICLE SEAT. Use a car seat mat,towel or thin blanket to protect upholstery.

• METAL AND PLASTIC PARTS: clean with mild soapand cool water. NO BLEACH OR DETERGENTS.

• HARNESS STRAPS AND LATCH STRAPS: spotclean or replace. Do not immerse the straps in water.Doing so may weaken the straps.

• BUCKLE AND HARNESS ADJUSTER: clean witha damp cloth.

• NEVER LUBRICATE THE BUCKLE. If buckle orharness adjuster sticks or will not remain tight, checkfor foreign objects such as food, dirt, etc. Removeobjects with tweezers and/or clean with a cottonswab. If you cannot get the harness to remain tightwith the buckle securely locked, do not use this carseat. Call Graco at 1-800-345-4109 to purchase areplacement harness or buckle.

4.2.2 SIN el arnés incorporadoSu niño DEBE CUMPLIR todos los requisitos:• PESO: 30 a 100 libras (14 a 45 kg)• ALTURA: 35 a 54 pulgadas(89 a 138 cm)

• Los oídos del niño estánDEBAJO de la parte superiorde la asiento para niños. Si laparte de arriba de los oídos seencuentran arriba de la partesuperior del asiento, el niño esdemasiado grande para la asiento para niños.

Si el niño pesa entre 30 y 40 libras y los hombrosse encuentran por debajo de las ranurassuperiores del arnés, recomendamos enfáticamenteel uso del arnés incorporado mientras sea cómodoy útil (hasta las 40 libras).

4.2.1 CON el arnés incorporadoSu niño DEBE CUMPLIR todos los requisitos:• PESO: 20 a 40 libras (9 a 18 kg)• ALTURA: 27 a 43 pulgadas (69a 109 cm)

Los vehículos nuevos pueden tener uno o variosasientos equipados con sistemas de anclaje LATCH.Si el vehículo viene equipado con LATCH, se puedenver los puntos de anclaje inferiores en el pliegue delasiento del vehículo. Si no están visibles, puedenestar marcados con el símbolo que sigue �.

6.0 Uso del asiento paraautomóvil CON arnésincorporado

6.1 Colocación de las correasdel arnés

NO AJUSTAR DEBIDAMENTE LAS CORREAS DELARNÉS DE SU NIÑO AUMENTA EL RIESGO DELESIONES SERIAS O LA MUERTE EN UNA CURVACERRADA, PARADA REPENTINA O ACCIDENTE.Ajuste apretadamente los cinturones provistos coneste sistema de seguridad alrededor de su niño. Unacorrea bien ajustada no deberá tener nada de huelgo.Se mantiene en una línea relativamente derecha sincombarse. No aprieta la piel del niño ni pone al cuerpodel niño en una posición poco natural.

1. Coloque el asiento para automóvil firmementecontra el respaldo del asiento del vehículo mirandohacia adelante.

2. Pase el cinturón de seguridad:

3. Trabe el cinturón devehículo. El cinturóndel vehículo no deberáestar doblado ni dado vuelta.

4. Ajuste el cinturón de seguridad del vehículoEmpuje con fuerza haciaabajo con la rodilla o lamano libre en el mediodel asiento para automóvil�. 5. Si desea usar la soga para mantener el asientoen su lugar, asegúrela ahora mismo. Vea laSección 8.1 Uso de la soga, página 31.Cuando no se usa el anclaje, engánchelo en labarra de almacenamiento del anclaje ubicadaatrás del asiento para automóvil.

6. Verificación de seguridad para unainstalación seguraRealice esta prueba cadavez que viaja con su niño.Gire y tire el asiento paraautomóvil de adelantehacia atrás y desde laizquierda a la derechapara verificar que elasiento está asegurado�.El cinturón del vehículodebe permanecerapretado. 7.1 Eliminación del arnés

1. Quite las correas de laplaca de unión metálica.Vea la figura 5 en lapágina 19 para más ayuda.Tire de las correas por lasranuras del arnés. No quitelas hebillas ni el gancho delarnés de las correas�.Empuje las correas, lashebillas y el gancho del arnéspor el fondo del asiento.

2. Saque la correa para laentrepierna. Vea la figura 3en la página 19 para obtenermás ayuda.Abroche la correa de laentrepierna al arnés yconecte el gancho del arnéspara su almacenaje.

3. La placa de unión metálicay la correa no se puedenquitar. Oprima el botón rojode ajustes y tire de la correahacia la parte trasera delasiento�. Encaje la placa deunión en la parte trasera delasiento�.

4. Guardar el LATCH. Ver laSección 8.2, Cómo guardar elLATCH, página 32.

5. Invierta las instruccionespara volver a instalarlas.Vea la figura 1 en la página40 para obtener la víacorrecta del arnés.

1. Coloque el asiento para automóvil mirando haciaadelante y firmemente contra el respaldo delasiento del vehículo equipado solamente con uncinturón para el hombro y de regazo.

2. Si desea usar la correa de la soga para mantenerel asiento en su lugar, asegúrela ahora mismo.Vea la Sección 8.1 Uso de la soga, página 31.

3. Coloque al niño en el asiento para automóvil conla espalda del niño plana contra el respaldo delasiento para automóvil.

4. Coloque el cinturón para de regazo/hombrocomo se indica en�. Ajuste la hebilla y tire haciaarriba del cinturón para el hombro para ajustarlo.

5. Si el cinturón pasa a travésdel cuello, cabeza o caradel niño, vuelva a colocar elcinturón a través del pecho,usando el colocador delcinturón para el hombro.Pase la correa del hombrodel vehículo a través de unode los tres posicionadoresexactamente como seindica�.Ajuste el colocador lo másalto posible sin que lacorrea del hombro toqueel cuello del niño.

6. Verifique que el cinturónpara el hombro estédebidamente colocadosobre el hombro yapretadamente sobre el niño. Una correa bienajustada no deberá tener nada de huelgo. Semantiene en una línea relativamente derecha sincombarse. No aprieta la piel del niño ni pone alcuerpo del niño en una posición poco natural.

8.3 Uso en aeronavesEste sistema de seguridad ha sido certificado para serusado en vehículos automotor. Ha sido certificado parauso en aeronaves SOLAMENTE cuando se lo usa conel arnés incorporado. Cuando se lo usa como asientopara niños sin el arnés, este sistema NO ha sidocertificado para ser usado en aeronaves porque nohay cinturón del hombro disponible.Puntos importantes que recordar:1. Las aerolíneas tienen ciertas restricciones sobre

el uso de los asientos para automóviles.2. Instale el asiento para automóvil en un aeronave

de la misma manera en que se instala en unautomóvil con un cinturón de regazo (ver laSección 6.2.1, Cómo asegurar el asiento paraautomóvil en su vehículo, páginas 22 y 23).

3. Verifique que el cinturón del asiento de la aeronavesujeta seguramente al asiento para automóvil entodo momento.

Para prevenir la eyección en un accidente o paradarepentina:• Asegúrese siempre que las correas del hombro pasanpor las ranuras y están debidamente instaladas en loshombros.• Nunca deje que el soporte del cuerpo se apile o sedoble detrás del niño.• Utilice el soporte del cuerpo solamente con las ranurasinferiores del arnés.• Asegúrese de que las cubiertas del arnés no interfierancon la colocación del pasador del pecho a la altura delas axilas.

¡Para usarse solamente con lasranuras superiores y centrales delarnés! Use el apoya cabeza en laranura de ARRIBA del arnés, NOen la misma ranura del arnés.Para evitar que el bebé salga despedido durante unaparada repentina o un accidente:• Use las ranuras apropiadas para los hombros en lascorreas del arnés.• Mantenga las ranuras del arnés colocadas sobre loshombros y bien ajustadas.• No use cubiertas para las correas, frazadas, cojines oacolchados debajo de las correas del arnés o del niño,a menos que hayan sido provistos por Graco.

Coloque el soporte de la cabeza en el centro delasiento para el automóvil con los extremos orientadoshacia abajo y insertelo en las ranuras del cinturón, porencima del arnés, como se muestra.

El soporte de la cabeza puede lavarse a máquina porseparado, en agua fría, y secarse al aire.

9.0 Cuidado ymantenimiento

• USO CONTINUO DEL ASIENTO PARAAUTOMÓVIL PODRÍA CAUSAR DAÑO ALASIENTO DEL VEHÍCULO. Use una estera paraasiento del automóvil, toalla o frazada fina paraproteger el tapizado.

• PIEZAS DE METAL Y DE PLÁSTICO: limpiar conun jabón suave y agua fresca. NO USE CLORO NIDETERGENTES.

• CORREAS DEL ARNÉS Y CORREAS DEL LATCH:limpie el lugar sucio. No sumerja las correas enagua. Hacerlo podría aflojar las correas.

• AJUSTADOR DE LA HEBILLA Y EL ARNÉS:limpiar con un trapo húmedo.

• NUNCA LUBRIQUE LA HEBILLA. Si la hebilla oel ajustador del arnés se pega o no se mantieneapretado, verifique que no haya ningún objetoextraño tal como comida, suciedad, etc. Saque losobjetos con pinzas y/o límpielas con una escobillade algodón. Si no puede lograr que el arnés semantenga apretado con la hebilla trabada conseguridad, no use este asiento para automóvil.Llame Graco al 1-800-345-4109 para comprarun arnés o hebilla de repuesto.

Para sacar la funda del asiento

1. Quite las correas del arnés y de la entrepierna(Vea la Sección 7.1, Eliminación del arnés, pagina29, para ayuda).

2. Quite los bucles elásticos ylos ganchos del asientocomo se indica�.

3. Debajo de la partedelantera del asiento, opri-ma la lengüeta para quitar laplaca del botón de ajustes�.

4. Ponga la placa de ajustesde lado y pásela por el agu-jero en la funda del asiento�. La apertura es muyestrecha, así que asegúresede no romper la funda.

5. Quite la funda del asiento,pasando las correas delarnés, la de la entrepierna ylos herrajes por las ranurasen la funda.

6. Vea la etiqueta de cuidado de la funda para obtenerlas instrucciones de limpieza de la funda.

NO USE el asiento de seguridad infantil sin la fundadel asiento.

1. Para colocar la fundade nuevo, siga los pasosanteriores en ordeninverso. Empuje la placade ajustes y la correa porel agujero en la funda.Asegúrese de noromper la funda.

2. Inserte las doslengüetas de la placade ajustes en la partetrasera del agujerodel asiento�.

3. Empuje la tela hacia arribapara que la lengüetadebajo de la placa deajustes quede debajo dela tela�. Encaje la placade ajustes de nuevo enel asiento�. Asegúreseque la placa de ajustesesté bien sujeta al asientoy que la correa se deslicelibremente cuando seapriete el botón.
