President’s Notes
Happy New Year!
I hope that all of you had a great Christmas and will have a terrific New Year. Our club closed out the year with a bang with a great Christmas party and we acquired another major sponsor, Comet Cleaners in Lubbock. Thanks to Rene and Ronnie for providing the location for the party again this year, Hillcrest country club. The food was great, we had
come ‘cool’ door prizes thanks to many of you and Sprague did his usual great job as leader of the game of Horse. Thanks also to Linda Ricks for setting up the cards and providing the M & M’s for the game and our snacking enjoyment. Many members brought toys that went to the Christmas is for Kids campaign, enough to fill the trunks of 3 Mustangs, plus some in the back seats. We were able to get some publicity from a live broadcast at the Comet Cleaners on Milwaukee.Ron Caffey, owner/operator of Comet Cleaners, was so impressed by our club both last year and this year for our toy efforts that he became a major sponsor for the club in 2017. He’s even thinking of buying a Mustang now that he’s involved with the club. Please consider using Comet Cleaners when you can and mention that you’re a club member. As you might expect, no changes in your officers, as voted on at the Christmas party, but anyone is welcome to become an officer or help with some of our committees. We also voted to stay at Hillcrest for our next annual party and the date has been reserved by Ronnie. It’s now time to start thinking/working on the upcoming April birthday party and this year’s car show in June.I want to thank all of you, especially all of the officers and committee members for all of your help again this year. We have a great and growing club and hope that you’ll renew and continue to be involved in our club.See you on January 5th.John

Mike's Thoughts
Hello everyone, and Happy New Year! Thanks to all of you who made it out to the Christmas party, it keeps getting bigger and better every year. We gave away a lot of money and toys, so if you wonder where your dues money goes, it goes to help a lot of folks right here in Lubbock. Speaking of being able to help in our community, January is a good time to remember our amazing sponsors. We really couldn’t do what we do without them. Please do business with these folks and spread the word – Major Sponsors
