On Monday 21st October we gathered at the Tuakau

Cosmopolitan club for our annual debate between Tuakau

College and Pukekohe High School.

The Moot was to:

The debate was close and both teams had prepared fine

arguments. The Pukekohe team was the affirmative and

the Tuakau team the negative. After the points had been

collated Pukekohe came out victorious. The experience of

the team shone through. The best speaker on the night

was Reni Broughton from Tuakau. Thanks to Mary Allen

for bringing her team to compete. Thanks to the

adjudicator – Coralie Hurley HOD English at Thames High

School and thanks to Country Cuisine and Tuakau

Cosmopolitan club for the venue.
