Background
das-Nano’s proposed system for car bodywork coating inspection
Irys, Terahertz-based paint thickness inspector
• In general, the application of coatings on all types of materials has had two basic objectives:
to protect or add new qualities to the coated base material.
• These characteristics can only be guaranteed with the appropriate thicknesses.
• Since the beginning of the 20th century, various technologies have been implemented to measure the thickness of these layers.

Why Irys?
× Not reliable feedback
× Calibration often required
× Slow measurement
× Unable to identify the various constituent layers
× Only measure the total thickness of all layers
Any solution to all these problems? YES
