Rhodia is proud to introduce a solution to rheology - Rheomer ® 33, a polymer that can provide thickening efficiency combined with high suspension power in cleansing formulations. This patented technology polymer is designed to provide high efficiency in low to medium surfactants content chassis and performs equally well in mild, sulfate-free surfactant systems. Until recently, anhydrous products, products with high electrolyte systems and products with extreme pH values have proven to be difficult to thicken. With ASI’s introduction of FlexiThix – a patented rheology modifier that works under extreme conditions, formulators now have a solution for many of these challenges, whether in water, oil or hydro-alcoholic systems. CAPTURING NEW PRODUCTS AND TRENDS ROADSHOW (4 MAY 2012)

Controlling the rheology such as viscosity, texture, and suspension power of cleansing formulations is central to successful product development. Rhodia is proud to introduce a solution to rheology - Rheomer®33, a polymer that can provide thickening efficiency combined with high suspension power in cleansing formulations. Capable of providing stability across a wide pH range, this innovative polymer is highly tolerant of salt, provides a pleasant after-feel and requires no neutralization. 10:30 – 11:00: Coffee Break

The presentation will show market trends in personal care market for skin care, hair care, hair styling, AP/DEO, sun care and body care. In correspondence, we will also provide Evonik technical proposals to meet the market trends, with example elaboration. The audience will get a clear view and forecast of what the market is looking forward to and get solutions with Evonik's help.

The US$400 billion global beauty and personal care market has seen great developments in recent years as a result of the changing economic landscape, shifting demographic trends and rising sophistication of consumer demand. The Philippines market is no exception. The growing number of business process outsourcing (BPO) employees and overseas Filipino workers’ remittance have resulted in an increasing middle-class. This has provided opportunities for beauty and personal care market trends, such as whitening, slimming and popularity of natural and organic ingredients, to take root further in the Philippines. This presentation will examine these trends in the Philippines context in comparison with regional and global trends, focusing on what the future holds for the local industry. Buffet Lunch SIMULGREEN 18-2 (INCI Name: Hydroxystearyl alcohol and Hydroxystearyl glucoside) is an O/W emulsifier from 100% vegetable origin. The presence of a free diol in its structure makes it hydrophilic and helps prevent soapy effect especially in emulsions with high levels of vegetable oils and natural gums. It has versatile emulsifying properties with all nature of oils over broad pH range (3-10). Apart from its improved resistance to high stress inducing ingredients, it can deliver a moisturizing effect even after 8 hours of application. It also imparts a nude but soft skin sensation. The natural products market continues to grow across all product categories and geographical markets. With the increased selection available to consumers, performance and sensory profiles are increasingly important in their product selection. Traditional formulas rely on heavy waxes and oils, which cause challenges including heavy skin feel, poor performance, high colour, strong odour and instability. New developments in natural materials have given the formulator the tools necessary to overcome aesthetic problems and provide performance products to the consumer.
