Chris Palmer December 8, 2016 at 6:23pm · San Lucas, Philippines Proud to represent USPSA and by extension Area 6 at the PSMOC Shooting Olympix in the Phillipines. I will be the Range Master for the 18 Stage USPSA sanctioned Pistol section of the match. Assisting are USPSA Area CROs Danny Garza, Randy Callison, and roughly 100 seasoned USPSA CERTIFIED ROs. These guys put on a fantastic match!! On a seperate note, it is wonderful to see our IPSC, and PPSA shooting bretheren enjoying the freedom and INCLUSIVE culture of PSMOC. Many have expressed delight at the welcome they have received compared to what they are used too. LikeShow more reactions

Travis Jordan I live in Fl and had access to IPSC so yeah it was awesome when the world shoot was here. Seeing the best in the world compete at the world stage was awesome. Having a venue like the olympics for our sport is another level to strive for.

Pathai Isarankura I too need to know if I'm going to be ok shooting the Level 3 IPSC match in Thailand next year. I heard they're giving him a hard time over there since he's one of the USPSA guy in the Philippines.

Shawn Clark Being serious, obviously I am not Mike Foley but I believe the agreement that he had with Vince Pinto was that USPSA won't sanction anymore clubs and matches in other IPSC regions without the local RD's permission (which likely won't come as I was told by others that the RD's are often the reason why they want to associate with USPSA rather than IPSC). But that anything already sanctioned can still move forward. Since the hubub happened only two months ago and major matches take a better part of a year to plan I am sure this is one of the already sanctioned matches.

Chris Palmer I am not aware of any "agreement" between Mike and Vince, but 18 stages were still shot under the supervision of NROI officials....... in the Philippines.......

Chris Palmer That is exactly the point Leighton, thanks for bringing that up. Members of sporting organizations have a duty to represent their respective groups wherever they go and participate in a sport. Further, they should not be scorned for being proud of it. If they are? Well the organization is already lost then anyway, any ROs and shooters start getting banned and sanctioned..... wait, does that sound familiar...?

Chris Palmer Leighton, "semantics" like ipsc rules calling for sanctioning of a member for "active or PASSIVE sanctioning of a sporting event" leaves it blatantly open for interpretation don't you think? PASSIVE? what exactly is that? I would also argue that I hardly have the influence OR power to split anything, let alone the cabal of ipsc or USPSA's membership in it.... :)

Leighton A Oosthuisen Chris with respect, I'm trying to find solutions. And yes, neither you nor I have that power or influence. I wish I did. :) But your post suggesting tacit approval from USPSA while implying to be representing the USPSA is not helping. You guys attended as individuals, and don't get me wrong, I support that. In fact, I would like to shoot this and other events in the future. But I'm looking at the big picture - long term. I admit I'm biased, being that I want to represent the USA at the WS. But more importantly I believe in the sport I have loved for three decades and I see no benefit in dividing it. Just so that the Philippines can claim USPSA affiliation. Something if their matches are as good as you say, they shouldn't need. :)

Chris Palmer I implied no approval by USPSA at all, but the 18 stage match was legally sanctioned as a level 1 match, and I was legally the Range Master for the match, something I was proud to do, especially since the initial purpose of my visit was on behalf of 3-Gun Nation. You seem to be making the facts fit your narrative, (biased or not 😉😉) but they simply don't. The other point nobody seems to see is that ipsc is likely bluffing. Banning the US would be a political error of massive proportions, and in my no influence or power having opinion, Vince doesn't have the stones...

And while you are enjoying your free trips, a lot of US shooters spent a lot of money the last couple of years trying to make WS teams and you guys are jeopardizing their representing the US and their companies there. Chuck Bradley Really? You made that completely up to take the attention of you. But yes lets discuss that, I haven't screwed anybody financially so I am curious. By the way I do have some of the emails involving your dealings. I am seeking permission to post them but unfortunately they know how deep your roots are with IPSC leadership and are reluctant to go completely public with it in fear of retaliation. See that's the problem Vince , you guys run this like organized crime. Those that don't agree or pose a resistance get ostracized, like your doing with the club in the Philippines. That's why I don't care if we split from IPSC as it is with current leadership, and welcome a competition. Change leadership and it may be a great relationship with mutual benefits. See I have always felt that IPSC leadership has been looking for a way to boot USPSA, like they tried years ago. You all see the funds generated by USPSA and have ideas that it could be taken over. One thing that led me to believe that was the registration of the URL IPSCUSA.org. I was told long ago that Nick registered that, now its listed as a private info. Still shows Canada orgin though. But I do notice he owns IPSC.org in his own name. And the IPSCStore.org is registered in Canada also.

Vince Pinto Yes, of course. In your little, paranoid conspiracy theorist mind, If the registrant of ipscusa.org is in Canada, it must be IPSC or the IPSC President who owns it. He's the only person living in Canada apart from some moose. The fact is that it has nothing to do with IPSC. There are so many possible URL permutations, it would be impossible to register them all even if we wanted to, but we don't BTW, ipscamerica.org and ipsc.us are still available. Why don't you register them and make us cry? Waaaaa!
ipsc.org is registered in the IPSC President's name because when it was first registered, that was the most convenient way to do so. However, 20 years ago he gave a letter to IPSC confirming that he is holding the URL in trust for the organisation. The IPSC Assembly is fully aware, and they have no problem. ipscstore.org is registered by the people who took over the retail business when we wanted to unload it because the stocktaking each year for the audit was driving us nuts. You can find a link to their online store at the bottom of the IPSC home page. What next? IPSC killed JFK and hacked the DNC server? Can I borrow one of your tinfoil hats?

Chuck Bradley Do you not know the difference between personal and issue related especially after you just accused somebody else of pay for play? You accused them of this for something that is commonplace in the sport. You are struggling to find anything to undermine and discredit anybody involved with the USPSA affiliated club in the Philippines. I want you to kick us out , then maybe the Nick yes men will grow some "stones" and elect new leadership. Then you wont have Nick protecting your operations as they are now. But for now you all have a stranglehold on IPSC by threatening any dissension with ostracizing them and by holding so many proxy votes. You all brag on all the new regions, the regions without real activity just so Nick gets more proxy votes. And if they don't then that opens up USPSA to compete with IPSC. Not something our leadership wants but may be pulled into by demand as a result. And you all trying to start IPSC USA here, good luck, you will get a fraction of the activity USPSA has. The way I see it USPSA doesn't need IPSC at all. USPSA can call their nationals a world championship and anybody can come compete against the best. I wouldn't attend a world shoot with this much animosity from IPSC leadership just so you can pull the rug out from under me after I invested the funds to get there. Not without an assurance that any sanctioning would not affect current competitors with earned slots. This animosity is so evident by your attitude and posts along with the recent rule changes by the assembly that I would think its almost a sure thing that this would be done as a way to punish the USPSA leadership for not bowing to the almighty Nick and Vince tag team.

Vince Pinto Try to keep up. IPSC has a constitution and ALL regions are expected to comply. The situation at hand is like a Match DQ: if the competitor (USPSA) breaches a rule, the RO (IPSC) merely calls it. IPSC did not breach a rule. And it's not my power struggle. It's between two Filipino groups, so I stayed out of it until the USPSA allowed itself to be drawn into the fray. If the USPSA didn't take sides against their long-established partner, there would not be an issue. I know you're extremely dumb (on top of having excessive contempt for the bad guys at IPSC), but I asked the USPSA in December **2015** (12 months ago) to revoke the FCA to prevent a crisis, but they refused then and they continue to refuse now. So, once again, you prove that you don't know shit from Shinola when you claim that IPSC used World Shoot leverage but, hey, I know it suits your distorted narrative. And don't bother bitching and moaning about the recent change to the constitution. Every other of our 101 regions has known for years that they must stay in their lane, and they didn't need to have the matter further clarified.

Chuck Bradley So what did that club or Edwin do to piss you off? Remember what I said about ostracizing those that stood up to you? That's what this looks like. The only way to get to them is muscle uspsa to revoke the FCa using a never before requirement and the enforcement a newly passed rule targeted at uspsa for this purpose. You may or may not kick us out at the world shoot but the threat of disqualifying the competitors as leverage means we can't attend in good faith. That's why uspsa issued the statement, a warning or disclaimer , regarding their slots. You can keep trying to paint a different picture but we see it for what it is.

Bobby Keigans I have LOTS of international customers and I often hear about their disdain with the IPSC dictatorship. I wish USPSA would go world wide... clubs that want to fly the USPSA flag could and would receive full support. Nobody -- not one person -- expresses any concern or indignance whatsover over allegations, with ZERO incontrovertible evidence, accusing me of embezzling IPSC funds, or being banned from an unindentified country, or from assaulting a teenage boy, or accusing the IPSC President of being a draft dodger. However, when I defend myself (and others in IPSC), against a small pack of dogs foaming at the mouth, and I fight fire with fire, somehow I'm still the bad guy. Do you really expect me -- or anyone else -- to merely bend over and grab their ankles? As Sir Thomas More once observed "Qui tacet consentiret" (silence is consent). And these coordinated attacks come exclusively from USPSA members. As soon as one guy makes a wild accusation, it doesn't take long for others to circle the wagons. Of course, there's always been the other claim that "IPSC hates Americans". However, the fact that we awarded the first two of our highest honour -- the IPSC Lifetime Achievement Award -- to Rob Leatham and Jerry Miculek in 2011, should put that allegation to rest, but I doubt it. There used to be time when Americans stood up for the guy being attacked by a mob. There used to be a time when men from the South were the most honorable of all but, clearly, those days are gone. And these days, people are generally far more aware of fake news, but apparently not in Area 6. I'd like to blame Obama for the deteriortion in vaues, but some of these attacks are from the same people who attacked me and IPSC when GHW Bush was still in the Oval Office. They're merely trying to sully and impugn my name to a new generation of shooters. But, despite these attacks, *I'm* still the loudest voice arguing that Americans should be prioritised over a bunch of misfit Filipinos in relation to the recent kerfuffle in the Philippines.
