Overview

As a leader in the supply of alternative quality components to

the conveying and piping industry, we offer not only the best

products, but innovative solutions as well.

Capstone Technical Innovations (Pty) Ltd, a black owned and

managed company that supplies a wide range of conveyor rollers

and piping systems, made from Titanium Polyvinyl Chloride

(Ta-PVC) to suite any application. OurEcoRollTM Ta-PVC idler

and Uni-lockTM Ta-PVC piping system have been widely adopted

in the Nickel, Coal, Gold, Copper and Mineral Sands mining as

well as Salts, Cement and Chemical industries.

We are a consulting, trading and manufacturing company to the

Mining, Chemical, Civil/Construction and Agriculture

Industries. We are the only manufacturer of Ta-PVC pipes with

the Uni-lockTM coupling System out of the USA, as well the

manufacturer of Ta-PVC Composite Conveyor Roller / Idler to

SABS Standards.

Polyethylene (HDPE) vs. EcoRollTM Conveyor Roll

EcoRollTM Conveyor Roll is the [only] composite conveyor roller made of a

Titanium Enriched, Modified PVC and [all] the rest are made of high density,

polyethylene (HDPE).

What is the difference?

Longer wear life: EcoRollTM Conveyor has 40% greater abrasion

characteristics then HDPE.

Economical: Prevent back injuries and reduced shipping costs as EcoRollTM

Conveyor roller weighs 40% less than HDPE rollers.

Belt Friendly: HDPE rollers damage belt top covers, having at its core an 3

steel tube.

UV: HDPE rollers become brittle and crack with extended UV & heat

exposure, EcoRollTM Conveyor rollers do not.

Fire: Friction created between a stopped HDPE roller and the belt sometimes

causes belt damage and fires. HDPE rollers [are not] allowed in many WV, KY

and VA mining operation because they will [smoke] when exposed to excessive

heat.

-HDPE rollers melt, molten HDPE will cause a fire

-Hot HDPE rollers damage belt, especially short belt runs. (frictional heat

transfer between HDPE and belt)

Conveyor rollers, modified titanium enriched PVC is an insulator;

-They do not burn

- Approved for underground use in the USA, S.Africa, Europe and Austria.

Conductivity: Standard HDPE rollers do not dissipate static electricity from

the belt, EcoRollTM Conveyor rollers will.
