Specialty Coating & Laminating has a large manufacturing facility in Doswell, Virginia (22 miles north of Richmond) with state-of-the-art converting equipment. Here is a list of some of our major equipment and their capabilities:
136” wide Extrusion Coating / Laminating lines 136” side with capabilities for priming, electrostatic surface treatment, printing 1 and 2 colors, moisturizing, functional coatings, foil lamination, polyester lamination, perforating, pigmented poly surfaces, and adhesive (non poly) laminating. Finished products from 3 mils to 50 mils, rolls or sheets.

2-Station 136” wide Aqueous Coating or Printing Line This line is excellent at applying repulpable vapor barriers, colored lines, and functional coatings, as well as 1 or 2 color printing. Available coatings: Oil and Grease Resistance, Water Resistance, Wax Replacement, Anti Skid, Abrasion Resistance, Release, Repulpable moisture barrier, and Silicone.

In addition to these major equipment lines, Specialty Coating & Laminating has numerous smaller manufacturing processes in our 250,000 sq.ft. facility with 3 manufacturing buildings. Our extensive manufacturing equipment, facilities and personnel (many of our producers have over 20 years of experience) allow us to develop and produce various types of products for industrial packaging, building and food packaging markets.

Specialty Coating & Laminating, Inc. is a manufacturer of poly extrusion and aqueous coated paper and paperboard products located 22 miles north of Richmond, Virginia. With a unique set of manufacturing capabilities and an expe-rienced team, we are able to provide high performance products and outstanding service at competitive costs.
SC&L is one of the only facilities in the world that has both laminating and coating in one plant. Combine that with our extra wide (up to 136”) capabilities, and we are uniquely suited to handle many projects that would normally have to go to more than one manufacturer. SC&L also has a heavy emphasis on product development and technical sup-port. These things, along with our convenient Mid-Atlantic location, are important assets in meeting our customer’s requirements.
Specialty Coating & Laminating is located 22 miles north of Richmond, Virginia, and is easily accessible from Interstate 95. We are also located on the CSX Railroad line and have two rail sidings servicing our three manufacturing build-ings. Directions to SC&L: From Interstate 95, take exit 98 (Doswell/Kings Dominion Exit, State Route 30). Turn on Route 30 west and proceed 0.7 miles to end at US Route 1. Turn right on US Route 1 North, proceed 1.4 miles to State Route 684 - Verdon Road. Turn right on SR 684 east, then 0.2 miles to plant at end of road. Turn Right onto the plant driveway.
