Advocacy for FY 2007 CSBG Underway Congressmen Dent (R-PA), Simmons (R-CT), Baird (D-WA) and English (R-PA) are circulating a Dear Colleague inviting Members of Congress to sign on to a joint letter to the President requesting that he include $630.4 million for CSBG in his FY 2007 Budget Request. As you know, this is equal to the final funding level for the program in FY 2006. Since the deadline for the letter is next Tuesday, January 31, we need all CAAs to contact their Members of Congress now and ask them to sign on to this letter. At the very least, we want to secure the support of all 122 Members who signed on to last year’s English-Baird-Simmons letter. Those 122 Members are: Rep. Neil Abercrombie (D-HI) Rep.     CSBG Letter to the PresidentCAA Action Needed ASAP!

    Advocacy for FY 2007 CSBG Underway

    Congressmen Dent (R-PA), Simmons (R-CT), Baird (D-W A) and English (R-PA) are circulating a DearColleague inviting Members of Congress to sign on to a joint letter to the President requesting that he include$630.4 million for CSBG in his FY 2007 Budget Request. As you know, this is equal to the final funding levelfor the program in FY 2006.

    Since the deadline for the letter is next Tuesday, January 31, we need all CAAs to contact their Members ofCongress now and ask them to sign on to this letter. At the very least, we want to secure the support of all 122Members who signed on to last year’s English-Baird-Simmons letter.
