BACKPACKSStart school in style AND with a backpack full of supplies! In July, we filled and delivered a record number of backpacks for 1,020 Capital Region children. Volunteers filled each backpack with all of the supplies needed for each child to embrace learning to the fullest, all while doing it in style. Watch an inspirational video at www.capcomfcu.org/backpacks.

CAP COM CARES TOURWe #SharetheCare all year long. Each August, we set out on a mission to deliver random acts of kindness and create smiles. This year, local Chambers joined us, and over 80 volunteers completed 20 community projects. See photo highlights at www.capcomfcu.org/carestour.

SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDSNurturing young minds and education. Each June, we award young adults and educators with 35 scholarships & awards that celebrate higher education and the credit union philosophy of people helping people.

COATS FOR KIDSA brand-new coat, just for you!Squeals of delight greeted our volunteers as we matched nearly 300 kids with new winter coats last October. Each year, we provide growing children, ranging from tiny toddlers to active 5-year-olds, with a coat that fits just right.

HOLIDAY GIVING Spreading cheer for all to hear! Our CAP COM carolers love the holidays so much, they share their singing talents for the families at Marillac Family Shelter in Albany while providing them a magical holiday experience. Plus, each December we adopt individuals and families in need to make their holidays a little brighter.

THANKSGIVINGFilling homes and hearts during the holidays. In partnership with Hannaford Supermarkets, we empower families to create long-lasting memories while celebrating Thanksgiving with their loved ones. Each year, volunteers from CAP COM assemble and deliver hundreds of Thanksgiving meals, equipped with 20-pound turkeys and fresh baked pies, to local organizations and schools who help families in need.

REALITY FAIRSLearning to budget early on! We partner with local schools to host financial reality fairs for their students. Each fair provides a real-life, hands on way for our future generations to understand and manage their finances.
