1 Getting Started 4 What is Canvas

Canvas is not like other sites. Canvas is definitely not 4chan, and is even more so not /b/. Canvas is not

Reddit with stickers, it is not a . message board, it is not merely .

an image board. .

Think of Canvas as an interactive Canvas. You can post an image which others can remix, comment on, or sticker. You can remix, comment on, or reward (or perhaps punish) an image post with a sticker.

Anything Safe for Work (SFW).

Meaning None Of:

SFW Gentlemen.

Pornography or drawings of pornography or things that could be construed and pornographic (like penis drawings).

/b/ terminology. Such as: newfag, oldfag, whore, or cumdumpster Try instead, newfriend, oldfriend, and girl/lady/woman

Nothing hateful: do not hate on the poster, no racism, sexism, etc. no posting pictures of someone to trash, or posting personal info.

Meaning Lots Of: Everything else in life. (Yes, there is quite a lot more)

Keep in Mind: Canvas lives past page 15. Comments and remixes cannot be deleted currently. All posts are tied to your Canvas account.

Threads can live on indefinitely and can be commented on or stickered at any point and time post creation.

P.S. Don’t beg for

stickers, a gentleman should

never be too needy. REPOSTS:

On Canvas, just like everywhere else on the internet, you will see lots of frustration towards reposting (the act of posting an item you found elsewhere on the net).

It is impossible to post only fully original content. So you can alleviate frustration with your repost by including a template in your thread and citing the source in the comment box. Especially if you are posting from a less known source or an image of a purchasable item. See the section on template making later. Use tineye.com to help you find the source if you don’t have it.

REMIXING: If you remix an image make sure to sticker the original image with something. Nothing is worse than having 20 replies and not a single sticker. The image inspired you enough to remix it, then it inspired you enough to earn a sticker. You have 8 unlimited stickers. You do not have to be stingy with them.

Awesome. Just do this: Canvas does not currently have a search function. But it wont hurt to give the groups and everything page a quick browse to see if you can find a place to fit your post. Putting your post in a specific group or thread increases your chances of getting stickers because it makes your post available to the specific interested audience. If you are going to post a picture of a cat, posting it in everything it would likely get less attention than it would in the cats group which has 425 followers.

Get back to the top if you aren't already there.

Click This ^

Figure out if you are posting an image from a web url, your computer, or making a new one. Click the button.

Get image in proper group (group drop down will default to the

group you were viewing) and label as necessary. Click Submit.

Then you have your layers.

The top and bottom anchor points resize the text/stamp vertically.

The left and right anchor points resize the text/stamp horizontally.

The corner anchor point resizes the entire text/stamp. If you hover outside the edge of a corner anchor point the rotate pointer appears and you can rotate the text/stamp.

Rotating and resizing texts and stamps

Layers help you work on a piece of your work independently. You keep your active work in the foreground, then when it is complete, merge it to the background to give you a blank foreground again.

You can use swap to move between background and foreground.

Color Selection

There is three ways you can select a color for text, rectangles, and your brush:

1) The eyedropper tool. 2) The color selector as pictured above. 3) HTML Color codes can be typed directly

into the color text box. Some HTML color codes will be given a bit later. But you can find a good chart of HTML color codes here: http://www.taoti.com/images/colorchart.gif

Exiting Rotate/Resize mode

When working with text/stamp it will default into rotate/resize mode. To set it in it’s final place there are two ways to do this:

1) Select a different tool. 2) If you are finished with the image click submit or reply
