A tiny sample of worn linen, loosely woven and faded, began the creative process of mapping

textures, colors and memories. You will experience a collection with an obvious love of rich textile

structures and with the linen sample representing a piece of industrial craft history.

The woven linen structure is applied to all variations of the Canvas Collage Collection, layered

over dried dahlia flowers, in a patchwork of colors and combined with new forms. I invite you to

dream away to life in the affluent 18th Century, just before the industrial revolution. Having the

time and luxury to create the ideal setting for afternoon tea in the orangery, picking beautiful floral

arrangements and rooms full of beautifully woven carpets. Big dresses, flower crowns and any-

thing opulent, yet romantic, that would impress the guests.

With colors like papal red or lazuli blue it is hard not to think of luxury, of an era where no effort was

saved to entertain guests to the extent of its personal fortune. The Canvas Collage brings back that

era with a modern Scandinavian interpretation, adapted to the more pure and tonal approach of

our current aesthetics.

Canvas Collage represents a collection of 5 designs that can be integrated. Each design stands

alone beautifully and when combined all designs seamlessly interlace with each other to create an

atmosphere of effortless comfort. Use your imagination, visualize your dreams and mix and match

the designs to create a unique textile flooring design that is completely your own.

The ege name is derived from the company founder Mads Eg Damgaard. In Danish, "eg" means "oak"

and just like an old oak tree we have strong roots and a big interest in the environment. We strive for a

greener future in everything we do. To that end, we continuously seek to in-

novate our products and processes. We recycle used water bottles by turning

them into our patented Ecotrust felt backing for tiles. For the same reason

we use ECONYL® yarns regenerated from used fishing nets that are reborn

as strong and hardwearing yarns for textile floorings. We strive to be a role

model in the textile flooring industry – not by using buzzwords but by acting.
