Teachers are focusing on achievement in English and Maths only, due to the COVID interruption to school learning. They have assessed students to show a snapshot of now. Assessments are usually informed by observations and running assessments throughout the semester. As such the reports will be shorter than they usually are. Reports will return to normal for semester two. Parent Meetings this Term We are going ahead with parent meetings because we feel that it is an ideal time to share information following the home learning experience. At this stage they will still be held on zoom or on the phone. To book in, please visit www.schoolinterviews.com.au and enter the code srhgq. Enter your details, select the teacher’s name and time. When you write your name in the field, please also write whether you would prefer a zoom conversation or a phonecall. For example, Emma Brown (zoom). Teachers will send out zoom codes closer to the time. Please call the office if you would like help with this process. A full instruction sheet will come home today. If selected from this process, they will attend school in their normal class, but will join their ‘Aurora class’ online for science, technology and mathematics. As well as this virtual learning environment, they will attend residential school programs from time to time. The application website opened yesterday.
