Corporate Membership ProgramThe Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology / L’association des infirmières en oncologie (CANO/ACIO) is a national non-profit organization established in 1985 to support the efforts of Canadian nurses in promoting and developing excellence in oncology nursing practice, education and research.

Our mission is to advance oncology nursing excellence through practice, education, research and leadership for the benefit of all Canadians.

Our vision is to be a driving force nationally and an influencing force internationally in advancing excellence in cancer nursing across the cancer control spectrum, and for Canadians across the cancer spectrum to have timely access to high-quality nursing.

CANO/ACIO’s Corporate Membership Program is available at three levels: Corporate Partner, Corporate Patron and Corporate Supporter. A description of membership benefits follows.

2020 Corporate Partner Membership$10,000 CAD plus taxes1

Corporate Partners receive the following benefits of membership2:

¤ Corporate membership for calendar year January 2020 – December 2020.

¤ Recognition on the CANO/ACIO website with the Corporate Partner’s logo that links to the Corporate Partner’s site for the duration of membership.

APPENDIX B: CANO/ACIO Webinar Sponsorship ProgramThe Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology/Association canadienne des infirmières en oncologie (CANO/ACIO) is a national organization that supports Canadian nurses to promote and develop excellence in oncology nursing practice, education, research and leadership. CANO/ACIO’s mission is to lead nursing excellence in cancer control for Canadians, with a vision of being an international nursing leader in cancer control.

An important goal of CANO/ACIO is to provide educational resources to oncology nurses in order to provide specialized learning opportunities, and to provide opportunities for oncology nurses and other professionals involved in cancer care to share their expertise and contribute to the advancement of knowledge within their profession. The CANO/ACIO webinar series is an important way that the association provides education throughout the year.

OPTION 1: HOST A CANO/ACIO WEBINARAs the host of a CANO/ACIO webinar you choose the content and the speaker of the webinar, and the CANO/ACIO Management Office will provide all other necessary support including scheduling, promoting and running the webinar.

Cost: $3,000 + 5% GST Corporate Partner Membership Discount – 20%Corporate Patron Membership Discount – 10%

Terms: The cost to host a webinar is a per webinar fee. The host will choose the topic and the speaker for the webinar, and work with the CANO/ACIO Management Office to schedule the date and time of the webinar. The CANO/ACIO Management Office will organize the webinar and create all marketing materials.

Benefits:

• Opportunity to develop the content of the session and choose the speaker

• Recognition as a host of the webinar on all correspondence and promotion regarding the specific webinar

• Recognition on the opening slide of the webinar

• Verbal announcement thanking the host prior to the start of the webinar

• Recognition on the PDF copies of the webinar presentation slides, distributed in advance of the webinar with the permission of the speaker

• Recognition in the homepage slideshow and on the webinars information page of the CANO/ACIO website

• Recognition in all distribution of audio recordings of the sponsored webinar

• Webinar recording will be provided free of charge to all, with the permission of the speaker

CANO/ACIO Management Office will provide the following:

APPENDIX C: CANO/ACIO Pocket Guides SponsorshipCANO/ACIO previously published two pocket resources that we continue to make available to members, upon request, through CANO/ACIO Head Office.

Cancer Care Pocket Guide – The Cancer Care Pocket Guide is a valuable tool to provide general guidance on appropriate practice and to assist with decision-making of trained Registered Nurses.

COSTaRS Practice Guides – The Pan-Canadian Oncology Symptom Triage and Remote Support (COSTaRS) Group created 15 user-friendly practice guides for telephone support based on clinical practice guidelines using a rigorous process. These practice guides can be used to guide clinical practice and may also be used for documentation.

Organizations are invited to sponsor the print production of these pocket guides. The sponsors logo will be placed on the inside front cover of the pocket guides and organizations are able to print a number of copies for their offices.

APPENDIX D: CANO/ACIO Awards ProgramCANO/ACIO has a robust awards program to acknowledge the work of oncology nurses nation-wide.
