Cannon Chapel
Cannon Chapel was designed by internationally acclaimed architect Paul Rudolph and features furniture designed by him.
President Jimmy Carter broke ground for Cannon Chapel in 1979. It was officially consecrated on September 30, 1981.
Cannon has hosted His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu, President Bill Clinton, and numerous acclaimed religious and academic figures and renowned performing artists.
Weekly Services Protestant Worship, Catholic Mass,
Hindu Aarthi, Jummah Prayers, and Meditation.

Cannon Chapel
Dean of the Chapel and Office of Spiritual and Religious Life
Cannon Chapel Sanctuary The Sanctuary is available for religious,
academic, and artistic events. Max capacity: 400
Brooks Commons Brooks Commons is reserved for
lectures, meals, conferences, artistic events, and community gatherings. Seats 50-100,
standing reception: 200.
Formal Lounge The Formal Lounge is reserved for
faculty/staff events only. Seats 12-15.
Security, Staging, and Care All related service needs (furniture, set
up, security, custodial, etc.) must be communicated to and scheduled by the Chapel Coordinator. The coordinator
will schedule these services. Non- compliance will result in a service fee.
Audio/Visual Audio, visual, and other media services
are available upon request and may require a fee. Audio and visual equipment may be operated by approved
personnel. Equipment and chapel furniture may only be moved as
scheduled through the Chapel Coordinator.
Parking and Accessibility Parking is available at Oxford Road,
Peavine, and Fishburne parking decks. For more information, including
information about special accessibility, is found at transportation.emory.edu
Reservations
Cannon Chapel spaces are available for use by Emory-affiliated groups.
