What is cannabis oil?Cannabis oil is made from the extracted medicinalcomponents of the leaves and buds of dried cannabis.At MedReleaf, we use a technique known as supercritical CO2 extraction. This method of extraction was selected because CO2 is non-invasive and can recover both terpenes andcannabinoids from the plant material with no residuals.

Some other oil products may be produced with co-solvents, such as ethanol. These additional chemicals add impurities to the extract which are unneeded and potentially harmful.

Through extensive scientific testing, MedReleaf has developed a proprietary extraction process that is solventless,environmentally-friendly, and produces a true medical grade extract that retains the full compliment of original plant terpenes.

A New Medical Grade StandardThe MedReleaf extraction process begins with a pre-treatment step to activate the cannabinoid-rich trichomes, making the cannabinoids more extractable by CO2. The cannabis plant material then goes through an extensive, 2-stage extraction process. Since our process is entirely solventless there is no need for post processing.

Several in-process quality control checks in our ISO 9001 certified facility ensure that we maintain a fine balance between cannabinoid activation (decarboxylation) and retaining the unique array of terpenes from the original cannabis plant. This is important because terpenes provide cannabis with medical characteristics, and are also known to be modulators of how the body benefits from the cannabinoids.

The result of our specializedextraction process is a beautiful, precisely concentrated, aromatic golden brown oil that is as close to theoriginal plant composition ascan be achieved.

Dosing guidelines

A recommended starting dose for cannabis oil capsules is one capsule, unless otherwise instructed by your physician. Be sure to wait at least 2-3 hours after ingesting the capsule before assessing the effects of the medication.

We highly recommend starting with a dose no greater than 0.2 ml of MedReleaf’sTHC rich cannabis oils (Indica, Sativa).This 0.2 ml will deliver approximately 5 mg of THC. Be sure to increase dose amounts in small increments.

We recommend a starting dose of 1 ml for the CBD rich AvidekelMR oil which will deliver approximately 25 mg of CBD.

A recommended starting dose for MidnightMR THC + CBD balanced oil is 0.5 ml,which will deliver approximately 5 mg of THC and 6 mg of CBD.

It is recommended that new oil users keep a dosing journal to record the amounts and effects of each dose. Sample journal pages are found at the back of this manual.

How to administer MedReleaf cannabis oil

Storage

Each bottle of MedReleaf cannabis oil comes with its own dropper marked with dose amountsin milliliters (ml). Squeeze the measured amount under your tongue and let the oil rest therefor 30-60 seconds before swallowing.

Remember to store your medication in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Cannabis extracts are fat soluble, so try to take it witha small snack to promote absorption. An emptystomach may minimize the effects.
