Salvadoran Martyrs (Martyrs, literally witnesses, testify to the
presence of God in the midst of suffering. The Salvadoran martyrs
offer a theological legacy of word and deed that continues to
resound today. This research seminar examines the theologies of the
Salvadoran martyrs – especially Óscar Romero and Ignacio Ellacuría,
and their colleague and interpreter Jon Sobrino. We will explore the
context of their theological intervention, their distinctive soteriology,
ecclesiology, and eschatology, and the spirituality that animated
their theological praxis.) 5503 3 Lambelet, Kyle Th 2:30p-5:30p RARB 447
