Why are you applying for the position in the Board of EYP Armenia?

Being a co-founder of this wonderful organization I was there during its ups and downs, when the visas

were rejected, when we had to present EYP Armenia at its best and got the full recognition as a member

of this big network. When bringing EYP to Armenia, there was clear vision of what it should become

and that is, the stereotype breaker, generator of the bright and creative ideas, and I am very thankful to

those people who were standing next to me helping to realize this vision all together. And, today, the

facts are speaking for themselves: 5000 views of youtube channel, 6500 followers in Facebook, more

than 1000 visitors of the webpage, 2500 young people involved in only 1 year. I am applying for the

position of President because being a maximalist I will aim for those numbers to be at least tripled! I am

looking forward to work with the future young leaders on shaping bright perspectives for our

generation, organization, and country.

What is EYP Armenia for you?

EYP Armenia has become one of the brightest spots in my life, which helped me not leave the country

once I saw the outstanding peers of mine in our sessions, projects, trainings. EYP is another family for

me all the members of which are unique and aspiring personalities, people who will reach out the

heights, who are not afraid of challenges and who reject the rejection. EYP is not mainly about how

many sessions I have head organized, how many high officials I have met, or how many papers I have

drafted, but rather about little things: staying up till 03:00 a.m. drafting with lovely chairs, meeting the

sunset with Alumni at Tsakhkadzor, improvising in the theater, and taking an EYP Adventure Race.

Experience in the field of the position applying: Since

the foundation of EYP Armenia I have been actively involved

in different EYP events. I have participated in the first NSC of

EYP Armenia. Later I became one of the organizers of the 1st

Anniversary of EYP Armenia, an impressive celebration full of

warm memories. This year I took part in the first Alumni

Gathering of 2014 in Tsakhkadzor. It was hilarious and

remarkable event for all of us. I am applying for the position

of Vice President on International Relations as I am ready to

take this responsibility, I have organizational skills and willingness to devote more time and efforts for

EYP Armenia.


In a very short period of time EYP Armenia has become one of the most interesting, educative, diverse

and friendly platforms for Armenian youth. At the same time EYP Armenia has become a real family

where members are ready to share their thoughts, views on different issues, as well as here we have

space to be unconditionally free and honest to each other. Now a year later EYP Armenia has obviously

become one of the most important parts of my life. So I want to increase my involvement and

particularly I am ready to take much more responsible position in order to contribute to the further

development of our EYP family. I see huge potential in young EYP-ers and I am sure that we can bring

great favor to the development of our country. In addition it will be real pleasure for me to work with

perspective and motivated young people.


First of all EYP Armenia is the best space for positive energy exchange. In EYP Armenia family all

members are unique, each of them brings special value and they greatly contribute to the development

of each other. In EYP people carry happiness, moreover they are willing to share their happiness with

others. For me EYP is a warm family where people can simply hug each other and forget about their

problems. All members are equal and honesty is really very appreciated in this family. Here each of us is

ready to share even a small chocolate with others. And it’s a great pleasure to live in this happy and

promising family.

Experience in the field of the position applying: Being

a student in one of the prestigious universities of Armenia,

Yerevan State University, I participated in many seminars,

discussions and other events. Moreover, I was one of the

organizers of political clubs where many knowledgeable

students met to share their opinions, thoughts and ideas on

different national and international events. Also, I was the

representative of Social-Democrat Hunchak Party Youth

Branch over than one year. I was the coordinator of youth

projects within our organization. For example, I introduced

youth problems such as tuition fee reduction to the University

administration in order to extend the deadline of payments.


Being a graduate student of YSU, faculty of International Relations, Department of Political Sciences, I

am highly motivated to take the position of the Vice-President on International Relations. One of the

main reasons is that knowing the principles of International Relations - promotion of International

peace and security, encouragement of communication and cooperation among nations, etc. I can really

be relevant to this position. Moreover, I will be able to use my experience in this field (the UN and

OSCE Model-Conferences, Youth Pass Certificate gained in France where I represented the EYP-

Armenia, etc). On the other hand, it is my great pleasure to organize big-scale events, present the

organization in various countries, meet thousands of talented, professional and motivated young

people. Furthermore, I will meet different high officials both in our country and oversees, develop my

professional, decision-making skills. Thus, it is a great opportunity for both contribution to the EYP

and my self-realization.


The EYP Armenia is a unique chance for me to be a coherent part of social and political life of both

Armenia and the EU. It is a significant platform for me to express my political beliefs, develop critical

thinking and analyzing abilities. It is a rare place to meet youth from different countries and promote

dialogue among us which will bring international understanding and diversity for our nations and

countries. It is a great pleasure to deal with conflict resolutions on different issues, discuss many

political events, make solutions which is exceedingly important for the future of Armenia and the EU.

Experience in the field of the position applying:

The position I apply for is closely connected with my

profession. Studying international relations for 5 years

gives a lot of skills and knowledge in this area which I can

use to help with the development of our EYP. Moreover,

communication with foreigners, dealing with them in

many spheres is my main occupation for now.


The main reason I apply is that I don't want to stay aside of those interesting events and processes

which take place in the frames of EYP. It's really interesting for me to be involved in this kind of job as

it's a great experience for me as a specialist in international relations.. Moreover, it's a great pleasure to

work with motivated and creative EYPers, help with organizing events, programs, make new friends and

meet new people. Many of my friends have enjoyed the pleasure of being in the board and I don't want

to miss the chance either. So, hopefully I'll have a chance to be a part of the board this time.


For more than a year these three letters accompany me nearly everywhere. During that time I managed

to learn things you'll never learn at the university. First of all thinking... I can say for sure that the time I

spent with EYP was one of the most amazing and if once you're involved in any event of the EYP, that

spirits grabs and never leaves you anymore. So, EYP for me is a new bright page of my life and I'm

proud to be a part of EYP family!

Participation in EYP events and taking on various roles -

from delegate to chair and organizer is already a huge

experience. It allows getting a close insight into the

format and spirit of EYP events and activities. Let alone

mention here my chairing experience in the 2nd NSC and

being a part of the organizing team for the 1st anniversary

of EYP Armenia. Additionally, I’ve had an essential

experience in organizing various events (career fairs,

exchange projects, conferences) and coordinating team

activities being a member and later on the vice-president

of the Incoming Exchange team of AIESEC Armenia.


We walk throughout our lives, taking step after step, without any concrete idea what the next step will

bring with it. This certain ambiguity allows us not only value what we have but also seize every given

opportunity. And once we take hold of something unique and extraordinary that fills our lives with

positiveness, the rational thing is to stick to that something with all possible means. This ''something

unique'' for me has become EYP Armenia. I have been doing my best to take as much of EYP into my

life as possible (though there is nothing like ''enough of EYP experience''). Overall, my motivation for

this position is the projection of all my EYP steps leading the path up to here. As at a certain moment

you feel it`s time to make your commitment deeper by taking on the responsibility to prepare and drive

the platform for others to get infected with EYP-ness.


I`ll restate what I once said, because the more I get engaged with EYP, the more I become convinced in

my EYP perception. For me EYP is about people - bright, enthusiastic, aspiring, creative, crazy; people

who believe they can change the world for better; people who are themselves open for these positive

changes; people who love and actually take challenges; people who dare to dream and make these

dreams real; amazing and extraordinary people.

Firstly, I took part nearly in all EYP Armenia Local Activities.

Secondly, I have a little bit more than just experience in the

field of organising activities: creation of the Future Political

Scientists club in, organisational activities in the YSU Student

Council, organisational activities in Army, creation and

coordination of Youth Analytical Centre, organizer and

coordinator of non-formal education training course (and 5-

days camp) on the topic of anti-corruption fight.


After having so many EYP adventures I feel a great need to share it with others, great need to involve

others, great need to help everybody get attached with the EYP world. Above all I need EYP Armenia for

this period of my life and I'm getting more and more sure in this after each session. But I'm deeply

convinced that not only I need EYP Armenia but also EYP Armenia needs me: my enthusiasm, my

experience, my willingness to selflessly care about each project.


When Salah Ad Din captured Jerusalem he was asked what is Jerusalem for you? And he answered

“nothing…and the whole world”. So what is EYP to me: yes, it might seem as another social activity. But

it is much more than just social activity it's an opportunity to change, it's a biggest social capital, it's a

possibility to meet people who are interested in their surroundings (and it doesn't even matter in which

field be it history, politics, economics, dances). The fact is that they are the ones who move on this

world and the history; maybe this could sound a little bit too egoistic, but I want to be in the front of

this movement.

Currently I am a member of "PINK'' NGO where I have

organized and conducted seminars, events, trainings.

However the mission of this NGO doesn't correspond to

what I would like to do in this organization. To be more

precise, my NGO is more specialized in educating people on

sexuality, protecting human rights. Being interested also in

the mentioned domains, however, being a future marketer

the activities of EYP correspond to my professional needs

more than other NGOs.


I have participated in EYP BuS 2014. The Simulation was great, but to be honest there were things that

I would change if I were one of the organizers of the event. For example when answering the questions

posed by the other groups, many teams avoided some of the questions (I guess the ones to which they

didn't have answers). And during the simulation I was thinking about changing the rules of the game,

because that was not much professional to skip the answers. So that was mainly my motivation to

become a board member of EYP Armenia. Also the final speech of Hovsep Patvakanyan impressed me a

lot and assured me that I am the change bearer and I am the one who can make something better.


First of all, EYP Armenia is a place characterized by democracy and equality. I have noticed that during

the selection process and throughout the simulation conference. That is the place where I believed in

myself and the prospective of our generation. The activities of EYP Armenia are interesting, useful,

professional. The people were friendly and ready to help. In short, EYP is the very organization for

which I would be happy to dedicate my time and efforts.

I have worked at the American Councils office as the

Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program Alumni

coordinator for two years. I have colossal experience in

organization and implementation of community events

of different range. I also have experience in reporting

and working with databases.


By becoming a board member of EYP Armenia, I would like to bring my contribution to the team using

my skills and knowledge. I would like to make the alumni experience as great as it is from the very first

moment of joining EYP, carry out my responsibilities with professionalism and in the spirit of youth.


To me, EYP Armenia is a special magnet that attracts unique people. EYPers dare to be different and

think differently. They are not afraid of challenges, they dare to get out of their comfort zone and reach

out for more, they dare to speak up and stand for their opinion. I can proudly state that I have learned a

lot from every single EYPer I have met. I was inspired by many. I cannot imagine any other place where

I would be able to meet so many bright people. To me, EYP is a new discovery, a new path and all the

awesome and extraordinary people who shape it.

Experience in the field of the position applying: To

start with, I majored in Labor Economics at Armenian

State University of Economics, which implies extended

focus on Human Resource Management. Second, I had a

two-month internship at Pepsi Cola Armenia in HRM

Department. Third, since 2013 I am the president of my

university's Student Scientific Association. This position

involves organization of all related events, development of

online (and not only) calls, assessment of presented

papers and participant coordination from the very beginning to the end.


The European Youth Parliament - Armenia is possibly the most outstanding non-formal educational

project that one could possibly ever experience. My motivation to apply for EYP Armenia is directly

connected with the aims EYP targets: it is to encourage active citizenship, motivate students to get

engaged in problems they see around themselves, promote intercultural understanding and diversity of

ideas and have no fear to speak up. It is an honor to be part of the team that promotes such high values.

EYP experience will also generate values for me. I surely expect development of my professional and

communicational skills, as well as chance to work with the great team of EYP Armenia. And another

motivation is Hovsep Patvakanyan's final speech at EYP BuS Conference :)


My first experience with EYP Armenia was interesting and memorable. Now when I refer to EYP, the

first thing that comes to my mind is highly qualified and prepared team. So for me EYP is a team of

young individuals with independent way of thinking and belief in the small change that starts from each

of us. On the other hand EYP is a chance to gain valuable skills, to connect myself to society and young

motivated people like me. EYP Armenia provides fearless and inspiring environment!!!

I accomplished my Bachelor’s degree at Yerevan State

University. I was majoring in Cultural Studies in the

faculty of History. Apart from the academic knowledge

on the sphere of the communication gained from my

university studies, I have got additional experience and

qualities while doing extracurricular activities. I have

participated in different conferences, seminars and

student exchange programs on various topics such as a

training course on the topic “Value of Peace for

European Citizens” in the frames of Youth in Action program in Georgia. Likewise, I have recently taken

part in the 2nd National Selection Conference of European Youth Parliament – Armenia. Those

activities strongly boosted my skills of communication. In addition to this, I currently work as a

Receptionist at Ararat hotel and as an Administrative Assistant at ICLT. Due to those jobs I am able to

keep my communication skills at a quite high level.


As mentioned above, I have participated in the 2nd NSC of EYP Armenia. Those awesome 3 days were

enough to make me sure that I am on the right path. During the project I met a lot of new people. I was

able to create new friendships which I hold till now. I realized how beneficial the conference was for me,

as such. I found the EYP team to be an organization of amazing people, a group of youngsters whose

viewpoints, intentions and approaches are quite appropriate to mine. I believe that if I am a part of the

team, it’ll be both my pleasure and honor to work there. It’s true I am already an alumni of EYP

Armenia, however, I would like to be more involved in EYP events, to widen my network, to get more

qualities and experience, and to be beneficial for EYP by my enthusiasm , my willingness of making the

best of any situation, and, finally, by my personal skills and abilities.


Above all, EYP Armenia is an inspiring place with its cozy and friendly ambiance which excites a lot of

brilliant young people to get involved in different activities. Also, that is a golden opportunity for those

who want to get ahead in their lives. By participating in various EYP events we are able to work in a

group, to feel the team spirit, to be a good member of a team, to learn the ways of good communication.

field, which is closely related to the position, I am

1. I want to deal with creative, interesting people from different fields. 2. As an EYP Family member I want to help my family to reach the highest points in work and to be a success. 3. I really want to be a part of the working team and to share my ideas and knowledge with others. And what can I do for EYP Armenia in this position...This field acquires something that will catch

attention. So the main point of this job is not to do the things that you can see and talk about it, but the

things that others can see and share the information.


EYP Armenia plays a very important role in my life. I like every single person in this organization

because all of them are awesome, creative, intelligent. Being an EYP Armenia Alumnus is a great

applying: Well, to be frank, both my academic and

professional experience is closely related to the

position of Communication officer. I obtained my

Bachelor's degree from the Department of Linguistics

and Intercultural Communication from YSLU and

later developed my skills in the field of

communications when I was an intern at Foreign

Relations Department of a USAID financed project, at

Public Affairs Section of US Embassy Yerevan, when

working as a Communications assistant at Extension Department of AUA and finally and very

specifically now, when my key responsibilities in the position of Project Assistant at EuFoA implies

communication of all Yerevan events to media outlets (TV and online sources). I am also responsible for

maintenance of EuFoA's website and constantly updating of EuFoA's FB page.


Having participated in one of EYP Forums in Georgia, back in 2009 I "got infected" with the EYP spirit

and dynamics, and since then I have been looking for opportunities to be more engaged with EYP

activities. Then in 2013, I got delighted to learn that there is a team that got the permission to bring

EYP to Armenia and establish EYP Armenia. It was with renovated enthusiasm that I applied and

participated in 2nd National Selection Conference and became an Alumni of EYP Armenia. Now, when

this unique opportunity is announced, it is with even stronger motivation and excitement that I am

applying to one of the announced positions that will give me the opportunity to become part of the new

EYP Armenian team. And this is all because I would love to be in the organizational team of EYP

Armenia, share my ideas and experience with my peers and support in raising the effectiveness and

popularity of EYP projects within my full capacities. Secondly, because I already got acquainted with a

group of dynamic, creative and smart young people from the EYP Armenia team and Alumni, I would

love to keep in touch with them.


EYP is a lot for me :) It has been one of the most powerful tools for me to understand that young people

can cause a real change together. EYP for me is a group of outstanding like-minded young people who

can combine work and fun together in the most effective way. EYP for me is and can potentially become

applying: From 2010 up to now I am the Armenian

correspondent of US based Youth Journalism

International nonprofit organization.

http://youthjournalism.org. I am an interviewer for

one of Armenia’s most famous news agencies of

MediaMax and sports reporter for the only sports

magazine of Armenia “Sport De Facto”. I was named

the winner of Youth Journalism International 2011

«Sports Opinion» and 2012 «Sports story of the Year» awards. After fruitful years of work, I have also

expanded my career background into radio journalism, working as a reporter at a radio station

“Impulse”.


EYP is something really exciting and only those people who are part of it can understand this. For me it

will be an interesting experience to coordinate the media related process. I am active in Twitter,

Facebook and LinkedIn. That will help to share EYP related information and also keep in touch with

media. That's all at this moment :) P.S. I don't like long motivation letters :)


I have attended 1st and 2nd NSC's organized by EYP Armenia. First time I was representing the media

team then I was a delegate. It is not only fun, but also useful. For me it’s a great place to share my

communication skills and learn from others. And, of course, making new connections wh can become

your best friends in future, is something worth practicing.

applying: I have been involved in fundraising

activities of EYP Armenia for the past several

months. Main experience of fundraising I got

during those months in EYP.


I'm applying for this position first of all because EYP Armenia occupies a big place in my life, second of

all because I have been doing fundraising for EYP, meaning I have the necessary experience for further

fundraising, third of all I want to continue my active involvement in EYP and realize my bigger plans for

the future. I have been and want to be the part of the team, which is not just a team but a true family

Experience in the field of the position applying: I

have participated in many fundraising activities both in

Armenia and the US, but they have all been social events,

where the main method of raising money was to ask fellow

citizens and community members to donate funds to

support a cause. Unfortunately, I don’t have any experience

with writing grants and the legal aspects of organizing

fundraisings, where the donor is an international

organization, who would review the case before investing

in the program. I understand the paperwork process well,

and I have a lot of experience in working with applications

for both personal and professional reasons and goals.


I think it would be to the Board’s advantage to take me as the Fundraiser on the International bases,

because first of all, I am already abroad, and for me to reach out to these foreign organizations for

financial support would be easier, second, I have a lot of professors that I can ask for advice, since the

department of my major is privately sponsored, meaning they already have a good idea about the

procedures and might have contacts. The reason why I am personally interested in this position is

because I see myself working with humanitarian aid in the future and writing development plans, for

both Armenia and states that have faced civil conflict recently and need reconciliation projects. I have

skills and energy to dedicate to EYP, but more importantly EYP can give me experience and it can open

new horizons for me.


I see EYP as an opportunity for me to give back to my community as a responsible citizen. Because EYP

in Armenia is still a baby I want to learn with it as it grows and develops into a righteous organization

that can actually help in achieving newer victories in raising the youth to fight for our rights as citizens.

I want to help EYP Armenia to become strong and have a potential to make changes in our society, to

raise the youth of the country to stand up for their ideals for their hopes about how political, economic

and especially social life in Armenia should be.

past I had an experience connected especially to PR when I

was a media intern for the American Councils (FLEX

program) and my responsibilities were in the sphere of

communication and media in general. Also I study in the

English and Communications department of the American

University of Armenia and my program track is Public

Relations.


The first and the major reason for me is the experience that I can gain while being on this position. I

study in the communications department at my university and public relations is my special program

track, so being a PR manager of such a responsible organization will surely have a positive impact on

the further development of my skills. My second goal is to contribute to the development of EYP and its

programs in general. Making the activities of EYP widely known among the youth will help to engage

more young people that can become the future change makers using the knowledge that EYP gave them.


For me EYP Armenia is not just a group of smart, talented and intelligent people. It is a functioning

body, that makes positive changes, and every small part of that body is unique. I see the future of

Armenia when there is any EYP activity organized. I am more than sure that the majority of the EYPers

will have their major contribution in the development of not only our country, but the entire world.

I am applying to become the IT Officer for one simple reason: I love EYP Armenia and want to see it

thriving. If I love someone or something, I do not like to talk about that long but I would rather DO

something for it, because actions speak louder than words. I want to spread a word about how great

EYP is, make it shine brightly in the internet and attract young, energetic and smart students. I do not

pursue any professional interest in becoming EYP Board Member because I am an engineer and it will

not help my CV much. Then the motivation for me to apply to the position of the Board Member and

dedicate my time and energy to the EYP is simple: I love EYP Armenia and want to see it thriving.


EYP Armenia for me is the people, the EYPers that it consists of. Nothing else, just that. Take all the

young, energetic, smart, bright people out and you'll get nothing. The success of any event, gathering or

working as an accountant I frequently study

Accounting Basics and Tax Legislation to enrich my

scope of knowledge and practice.


As I have a degree in Accounting and during the last 10 months I got more profound practical

knowledge of it, I realized that it is a very interesting and analytical sphere for my further development,

thus, I am eager to learn about it as much as possible in the scope of this position. Knowing that NGO

accounting differs from commercial organizations accounting, I think this is a great opportunity to

enlarge my knowledge in this field.


For me EYP Armenia has become a kind of family which gives me lots of opportunities to collect the

pieces of the world I would like to live in. I really love this group. They are all enthusiastic, smart people
