The Canadian Red Cross will host its fifth annual Pink Day Film Festival on Feb. 27, 2019 and will showcase of as many of the videos as possible created by Manitoba and Nunavut schools. This year’s format will focus on creating bullying prevention videos that are 30-to-60 seconds in length. The videos will feature the theme of #BeSomeonesHero, which highlights individuals and groups in schools and communities who make a positive difference by promoting respect, kindness and bullying prevention. The Canadian Red Cross looks forward to celebrating the incredible video creations of student filmmakers throughout Manitoba and Nunavut. As part of that celebration, the Red Cross wants schools to take part in the 2019 Film Festival. There are different ways a school can take part in the Film Festival. Schools can celebrate by watching past videos on the Red Cross Manitoba/Nunavut YouTube channel leading up to Pink Day 2019 and using the accompanying school activity to talk about bullying prevention. The Canadian Red Cross also encourages schools to join us on Feb. 27, 2019 and celebrate Pink Day by gathering together to watch all of this year’s submitted videos, after they are posted on the YouTube channel. This will be an exciting way to see the skills of youth from across Manitoba and Nunavut, as well as to see what they have to say about bullying prevention. Your school can also be a part of the Film Festival by submitting your own video for the event. Canadian Red Cross Pink Day Film Festival 2019
