CREATE FUND DESIGNATIONS

• Include names and description of projects, campaigns or

funds

• Donors choose from a drop-down list of fund options when

making a gift

• Update and change these easily in your MyCharity account

under the “Funds” tab

• Enter terms that will help donors locate your charity when doing a search

CUSTOMIZE YOUR DONATION PAGE

• Your Donate Now button links to your default Custom Donate Now page

• Customize the look of your donation page to reflect your brand

• Select which fields to include on the donation page

• Direct donors back to your website following a donation

• The charity thanks the donor for their gift and fulfills donor requests

DISBURSEMENTS

• You will receive an email notification once an EFT has been processed.

• Look for the funds in your bank account 1-3 business days following the

disbursement.

• Remember that you can access the donation information as soon as

the donation is made and don’t need to wait for a disbursement to

happen in order to begin donor recognition.

• Under the DONATE NOW tab of your MyCharity account, you can

find the HTML code to add the button to your website

• The first step is to choose the set of buttons you like best.

Once you choose an image, HTML code is automatically generated. All

you have to do is add this code to your website’s existing HTML.

If you are unsure of what to do with the code, ask your charity’s website

personnel to assist you.

RECOGNIZE YOUR DONORS

• Recognize donors in a timely way.

• Remember to include CanadaHelps donors in your charity’s regular donor recognition programs.

TAX RECEIPTING

• Remember that CanadaHelps issues the tax receipts for the donations through our site.

• You must not issue receipts to the donors or to CanadaHelps.

T3010 REPORTING

• Declare the donations you receive from

CanadaHelps under:

“Total amount received from other registered

charities”
