Food Groups Recommended Servings a Day For A 12 Year Old Boy

Examples

Vegetables and Fruit

6 Servings 1 Cup of salad, 125 ml of 100% juice, apple, orange, banana, and another 125 ml of 100% juice a day

Grain Products 6 Servings 1 slice of bread or half a bagel, 125 ml of cooked rice, 30 g of cold cereal, 175 ml of hot cereal, 125 ml of cooked pasta, 1 slice of bread.

Milk and Alternatives

3-4 Servings 250 ml of milk, 175 g of yogurt, 50 g of cheese, and another 250 ml of milk.

Meat and Alternatives

1-2 Servings 125 ml of cooked fish, 2 eggs
