Congratulations to 6th grader, Rebecca Pierce
and the Arthur Blank YMCA Xtreme AllStar

Recently, the team made up of ladies around the

Cobb County Honor Orchestra
Congratulations to Katelyn Hsiang (violin), Aaliyah Rashid (cello), and Alicia Rivera Alvarando (viola). Over 400 cobb county students audition for the group. This is a high honor for these third-year orchestra

Anti-Bulling Play:
The Talking Heads
On January 20th all students were treated to an encore performance from our Drama
Club of Talking Heads: A Play About Bullying. This was written by our Drama Club sponsor Royce Tribue and starred
students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. What a great way to share the message of
“Stop the Hate! Appreciate!”
CMS Drama Club Preforms the ANTI-BULLYING
Play written by our own Royce Tribue

Cobb Regional Technology Competition took place in January. We had the honor of having
four students complete in this technology competition. The students represented Camp-bell Middle School as professionals and hard
working students.
Library Lesson:
Fake News
In January eighth graders came to the Media Center for lessons on Fake News. They
learned how spot a fake headline, what real social media news looks like and where to go to fact check information when they can’t tell the difference. CMS students are empowered
to find Real News!
