Program: • After the success of our first Family Weekend, we

couldn’t wait to start planning for Family Weekend taking place from Friday, August 14th – Sunday, August 16th, 2020. Parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and, of course, kids are invited to join us for an action- packed weekend filled with campfires, an amazing variety of activities, and life-long memories!!!

Your Family Weekend Includes:

• 5 meals plus snacks (Friday Dinner, Saturday - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and Sunday Brunch)

• Accommodations in our camper or staff cabins – cabin requests can be made but are based on a first come first served basis. For a small additional fee you can upgrade your cabin to a washroom and/or washroom/shower cabin

• Use of the facilities with our amazing Tamarack staff who will be supervising and organizing activities for the entire family.

Special Guests:Remember to bring your musical instruments for the Saturday night Talent Show and Adult Only campfire!!

Cost for the Entire Weekend: $205.00 + HST per person for the first two family members (18 years +)

$125.00 + HST for each additional family members (5 years +) Free for campers 4 years old and under.

Additional fees (if applicable): $60.00 + HST per family for a cabin with a bathroom (based on availability)

$85.00 + HST per family for a cabin with a bathroom/shower (based on availability)

All camp fees must be paid in full with registration form. A $50.00pp admin fee will be applied for cancellations between registration and July 31st. A $75.00pp admin fee will be applied for any cancellations after July 31st.

Arrival and Departure Info:Family Weekend begins at 2:00pm on Friday, August 14th. There will be a light snack in the afternoon. Our first meal will be dinner on Friday.

Upon arrival, simply stop by the registration desk at the parking lot and our staff will assist you with your luggage and cabin assignments.

Family weekend will end at 1:00pm on Sunday, August 16th.

All campers must check out prior to coming to brunch on Sunday.

Please drive slowly and remember that the camp road is a single lane.

All cars will be parked in the staff parking lot for the duration of the weekend. No exceptions.

Camp Food:Camp food is good. Actually, it’s pretty amazing. Things have changed since some of you have been to camp and our awesome chef and his team are the best in the business.

All meals will be served ‘family style’ in our dining hall or as a BBQ on the field. We will be able to accommodate lactose, kosher and vegetarian diets. Tamarack’s kitchen is nut aware and most of our baked goods are prepared in our own bakery. The dining hall will be closed between meals but, there will be fresh coffee and hot water 24/7 available.

What: Ropes, canoeing, climbing, sailing, tennis, swimming, baseball, skiing, tubing, arts, fishing, campfires and more!!!

Important Tips:Cell phones – we ask that you keep all cell phones in your cabins (or even better in your vehicle).All valuables should be kept locked in your car.A full schedule will be available closer to the weekend.There will be family, kid and adult programs throughout the day.If you wish to participate in another activity not on our schedule, just ask. We will do our best to accommodate your request (i.e. sports shed will be open to sign out sports equipment)All campers 4 and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times.For any food items kept in your cabin, please bring a sealed container.Please be on time for meals.Evening babysitting service will be available for a minimal fee paid directly to the babysitter.Smoking – please be advised that smoking is prohibited except in designated areas.

Alcohol and Drug Policy:Use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited. Any guest who violates this will be asked to leave camp immediately. No refund will be given.In Ontario, the legal age for consumption of all alcohol is 19. Tamarack’s policy with regards to alcohol is consistent with the provincial law. Any guest who violates this will be asked to leave camp immediately. No refund will be given. Those of age who choose to consume alcohol must drink responsibly. If, for whatever reason, the Camp Directors feel that a guest is acting irresponsible, he/she will be asked to leave camp. No refund will be given. Absolutely, no alcohol will be permitted in any water vehicle. Due to safety hazards associated with broken glass, we kindly ask that all beverages brought into camp be in recyclable plastic, tetra, or aluminum cans.

Special Events:If someone in your party is having a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion at camp, let us know. We want to help celebrate.

TUCK SHOP and Tama-Wear:The Tuck Shop which will be open several times throughout the weekend. Be sure to check out all the new Tamarack gear. All items can be paid in cash and/or credit card.

Health Centre:Although we will have a number of certified first aiders on site, all campers are responsible for their own medication. Our medical centre will have a stock of the basics but, if you or your camper requires special medication, please bring it yourself. If you need to refrigerate any medication, please let us know.

Evening Program/Camp Fires:EP’s are part of overnight camp. Our amazing staff will pre-pare the perfect end to your day. On Saturday, get ready to participate in the Tamarack Talent Show. Details to follow. Each night will be capped off by a camp fire and snack. Bedtime for campers will depend on their age. Once the campers have been quieted down, there will be Adult-Only EP’s.

12:30 Lunch (including the incredible Tamarack Salad Bar)

1:15 Rest Hour

2:30-5:15 Activities Listen for the Snackmobile during the afternoon
