programming robots, computer programming andand hands-on engineering design challenges

through electronic re-engineering. See page 3 forgrade specific content.

Elementary Classes Middle Grade Classes

For students entering grades 2nd-5th duringthe 2019-2020 school year. 

This is not an advanced camp, beginner levelSTEM learners welcomed! Campers will be engaged in teamwork eachday with each activity.  Doing so helps tofoster the essential STEM career skills ofcommunication, teamwork and collaboration.If enrollment is low at a particular site, gradelevels may be combined (2nd/3rd and4th/5th)

Campers will become immersed in STEMconcepts by engaging in the following:

2nd grade: solving daily team STEMchallenges, learn about computer codingusing a coding robot, buildengineering structures using everydaymaterials and solve engineering puzzles usingdigital games that require a hands-onapproach.3rd grade: solving daily team STEMchallenges, use computer programming tocontrol and drive a robot, electronic take apartengineering and develop an amusement parkonline and in the classroom.4th grade: solving daily team STEMchallenges, build a mBot robot and learn howto control it through computer programming,compete in a robotic parade that involvescoding and sensors, and create a video gamethat involves hands-on and onlinecomponents.5th grade: solving daily team STEMchallenges, learn about programmablesensors and coding using Sphero's, take apartold electronics to re-engineering a workingmodel, and learn how to use computerprogramming to develop their own app.

Applications will not be considered complete and a spot will not be reserved unless theonline application and payment are made.

You will be notified by email of your child's acceptance or wait list status within 1 week ofreceipt of your application and payment. If enrollment indicates "full" online, please email Deborah Gerhardt at [email protected] ask to be placed on a wait list.  If enough students are on a wait list, there may be anopportunity to open another class at that site.Refund Processes: If you remove your child before camp starts, a full refund will beprovided.  No refunds are provided once a child attends camp as the camp registration feeof $100 covers the costs of teacher compensation and materials that are accounted forbefore the start of camp.
