Morning Crazy Science™

Campers will be amazed as they have FUN with chemistry in this exciting summer camp. They will make oozy-gooey slime, watch clear liquids magically change color before their eyes, make their own eraser and super bouncy ball, invent their own carbonated drink, make a glowing blue concoction to examine why fi re fl ies glow, make a dinosaur grow to many times its original size, and many more fun lab experiments. This is a camp that your child won’t want to miss and will tell all his or her friends about.

Secret Agent LabLook out 007 – the Mad Science Secret Agent Lab is in session! From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, you will get a chance to check out cool spy equipment and even create you own edible message in a hands-on look at the science that spies use! Campers will use science to connect the dots and help sniff out the suspects in this hands-on investigation into the science of sleuthing. (Formerly “Spy Academy” & “Science Sleuths”)

Flights of Fancy The Montgolfi er Brothers, Ferdinand von Zeppelin and Wright Brothers were pioneers in the fi eld of aeronautics and thanks to their Flights of Fancy we now have the wonderful ability to soar with the birds. Come and spend a week with us and discover the world of aeronautics and learn what makes things go up and stay up! In our labs, we will explore and make the different types of fl ying machines from basic kites to hot air balloons, dirigibles, airplanes and space ships. Let’s investigate the art and science of fl ight!

Junior Engineering™ 1Using very advanced LEGO® parts and pieces, children will learn by doing. Course covers gears, levers, wheels, axles, structures, forces and simple machines. The building projects are simple enough for campers to do well yet hard enough to challenge them. This is an integrated science and math program and is the fi rst class leading up to the Robotics Academy, where children will build robots and program them with a computer!

Adventures in SpaceWelcome future space explorers. Come experience a fi ve-day odyssey and learn how to fl y both in and out of the Earth’s atmosphere, design your own space station, and even launch your very own model rocket. From its past, present, and to its future, children will take a journey to the moon and back.

Junior Vehicle Engineering™

Using very advanced LEGO® parts and pieces, campers build 14 different vehicles. Some of these vehicles haven’t even been invented in the “real” world...yet! Projects include: Car, Golf Cart, Model “A” Ford, Semi Truck and Trailer, Rubber Band Trigger Car, Snow Plow, Motorized Shopping Cart, Stand Up Scooter, Three Wheeler, Tow Truck, Trick Car, Wagon, Wheel Barrow, and Zamboni.

Junior Engineering™ 2More great-hands on learning and building of projects of slightly higher complexity using gear and motors, using very advanced LEGO® parts and pieces. A must for campers who enjoyed Jr. Engineering 1. The building projects are simple enough for campers to do well yet hard enough to challenge them. This is an integrated science and math program. No prerequisite for this program.

Space Camp: Journey Into Outer SpaceFrom our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program sends campers on a quest for exploration! Comets, planets, stars and more are all waiting to be discovered. Learn about the four forces of fl ight, the challenges of space travel, and participate in a rocket launch!

Moving with ScienceMad Science invites you to explore how things move with science. Take apart pellets to see what an owl cannot digest! View the world through a periscope that you make yourself. Join a team of camper engineers and build bridges, domes, cubes and pyramids. Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults, simple machines and mega-pinchers! Make your own sidewalk chalk and have fun with chromatography!

AfternoonArt-cation Van Gogh, Renoir, Degas; the greatest artists all had one thing in common – when they needed a little inspiration they all took an Art-cation! Don’t worry if you can’t send your budding artists to the French countryside for the summer, we’ve got all the inspiration they could need! Whether you are an accomplished visual artist or new to the palette, this camp will charm and delight. Campers will be able to spend time exploring a wide fi eld of techniques – pointillism, shading, hatch and crosshatch with different mediums – oils, watercolor and pastels. We will even learn how to mix paint and stretch canvas! Clay, metal-smithing and glass mosaics will also be explored. Our week will end with a children’s gallery opening that is sure be the talk of town.

Dino-Camp Fun is not extinct! Come RAWR with us! We will spend our week fi nding fossils, playing dinosaur bingo, and living large in our Cretaceous forest. Campers will be able to explore the world of the dinosaur and expand their knowledge of how these great beasts lived millions of years ago. Whether

your child knows all about these mighty lizards or is just beginning to delve into this wondrous world, this camp is for them.

Enchanted ForestCalling all Knights and Fair Maidens! The best adventures always start once upon a time in a land far away. Learn proper dragon slaying techniques, the fi ner points of fairy house making and how to tell a gnome from a elf. This wondrous week will give your child an opportunity to learn about the myths and legends, as well as indulge their spirits with creative play. Enchanted crafts and bewitching arts will be the perfect fi t as the summer days drift by.

Rock Star CampCome spend a rockin’ week with us, as we learn about the music industry and what it takes to make it in the ‘biz. We will learn dance moves and rock star style, and create a music video that is sure to take over MTV! Professional voice instruction, as well as visits from local rockers, will help your child live the dream of making music industry magic.

Under the Big Top Step right up ladies and gentlemen and get your tickets for the greatest show in New Hampshire! You don’t have to run away and join the circus; we’re bringing the circus to you! With this fantastic summer program your child can live his or her dreams of clowning around – professionally! Learn juggling, physical theater, and even the forgotten arts of the sideshow! This all culminates in our own circus performance for family and friends to enjoy. Come see what it’s like to spend a week trying to make ‘em laugh – it’s better than a pie in the face!

Foodie Camp Does your child love being in the kitchen? Have a mini-gourmet on your hands? The next top chef? Dig in and devour this food stuffed camp. We will wield our wooden spoons as we work our way through new and exciting recipes this week. Novice chefs will learn the basics of food prep and kitchen safety. Let us explore the world’s culinary treasures as we eat our way around the globe and our own backyard!

Theater in a Week All the world’s a stage and we are merely players. We move through the production schedule in a fast-paced, child-focused way while learning theater history, costume and set design, dramaturgy, rehearsal and performance skills. Over the course of the week we learn lines, make costumes and props because once Friday arrives it’s Showtime! This summer we are presenting three different productions for your young actor or actress in our outdoor amphitheater:

A Midsummer Night’s Dream: What has fairies, a donkey, a royal court and one truly impish Puck? If you guessed William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” you’re correct! Children will love the opportunity to travel through time and into a world where mortals and fairies live side by side. So give us your hands, if we be friends and we’ll step out onto center stage with our fi rst

production – performed on Midsummer’s Eve in June!

Peter Pan: Join us for J.M. Barrie’s beloved children’s classic. Spend the week with us in Pirates Cove, as we do battle with the fi erce Captain Hook and learn how, through the magic of theater, you really will feel like your imagination can fl y! Tick-tock, tick-tock don’t let summer pass without learning team work, creative thinking and public speaking things that will give your child that little boost for next years scholastic requirements.

On the Way to Avalon: Step back in time to a world of knights and fair maidens in Camp DaVinci’s fi nal summer stock production. Lancelot, Morgan le Fay, Guinevere, and Merlin are all on a quest to fi nd something to do, since King Arthur found his beloved grail and has no time to play. When the grail gets lost again, do they search for it or do they try to pass off a royal fake as the stuff of legend? This grandiose musical comedy is sure to hit a high note on summer’s end!
