Welcome to Camp Amichai

Camp Amichai is an amazing summer machaneh with a Torani atmosphere and the familiar world famous Bnei Akiva ruach!

The three-week camp is conducted in Hebrew, and is for Israelis and Olim.

Camp Amichai is about making new friends, having a great time, and learning in an exciting way. Bonds of friendship made at Camp Amichai last for a lifetime.

Meet the Tzevet

The camp is planned, organized and supervised by the Camp Amichai leadership, together with World Bnei Akiva and Bnei Akiva Israel. Our team of madrichim are graduates of Bnei Akiva, who have accumulated a rich hadracha experience. The madrichim have worked with chanichim from Israel and from abroad.

The madrichim are a personal example for excellent Midot and Torani behavior. They are highly capable and responsible. In addition to the hadracha team, there is a professional support staff.

The tzevet creates a special atmosphere of ruach and energy, learning and creativity. The madrichim develop and bring out the individual talents unique to every camper.

The Camp Amichai Experience

EMUNAH: Machaneh Amichai strengthens campers Jewish identity and faith through tefillah workshops and shiurim, discussion groups on various Jewish subjects, all aimed at bringing Torah and love of Eretz Yisrael alive.

TIYULIM: Experienced tour guides and the amazing madrichim lead half-day and day-long tours to beautiful sites in Israel. Campers enjoy the Golan’s beauty and the many attractions that the North of Israel area offers, they feel the connection in walking in the footsteps of both ancient and modern Jewish heroes.

SPORTS: The diverse sports program includes basketball, soccer, volleyball, hockey and baseball as well as swimming and flag football.

CHUGIM: A wide range of chugim are offered, such as drama, zumba, arts and crafts, jewellery-making, painting, dancing, navigation, tzitzit-making, martial arts, baking and aerobics.

MEALTIMES: Meals are fun at Camp Amichai, full of ruach and singing. The meals are well-balanced and the food is great!

NIGHT ACTIVITIES: In the evening, campers enjoy a varied night program, including campfires, erev tzava, star gazing on the beach, talent shows, capture the flag, and fun shevet tochniot.

SHABBAT: We share three inspiring, never-to-be-forgotten Shabbatot at Camp Amichai. Conducted in the traditional Bnei Akiva style, Shabbat includes moving tefillot, mifkadim, lively zemirot, inspiring Divrei Torah, incredible meals and activities and the unique Shabbat atmosphere that only Bnei Akiva can provide!

Koach Avichai

We welcome Shevet Avichai (chevra completing Grade 11) to join us in running the camp. Koach Avichai assist with the running of chugim, sports and with technical support. A unique Hadracha seminar is offered as part of “Koach Amichai”, where they learn leadership skills through enriching activities, fascinating discussions and professional workshops. Participants are given opportunities to develop skills and talents with the support and guidance of the camp leadership. Koach Avichai should apply as staff and will follow the same interview process.

Welcome to Mini Amichai!

We are delighted to invite chanichim of grade 3 to experience a taste of camp. An amazing three day adventure at Machaneh Amichai. With Avigail Spiegelman a legend of Bnei Akiva Israel, Olami and Camp Amichai, as Rosh Mini Amichai, the chevra are going to have the time of their lives. The program is action packed with fun, sports, peulot, chugim, new friends and incredible madrichim. All of this will take place in the wonderful and caring atmosphere that Camp Amichai is famous for. Your big brothers and sisters in the Camp Amichai Family are so excited to welcome you this summer.

Beit Midrash and Chinuch

Camp Amichai has a vibrant Beit Midrash led by senior tzevet and a Rosh Beit Midrash. (Post high school and Hesder age boys and girls.) It is designed to make Torah exciting, interactive and lively. Each age group has organized chugim with the Tzevet Beit Midrash. Campers also are encouraged to set extra chevruta times with the Beit Midrash. Shiurim are also available during the day. The Tzevet Beit Midrash are involved in tfilla, chugim, camp mifkadim and all aspects of chinuch at Camp Amichai. Beit Midrash should apply as staff and will follow the same interview process.

Sayeret Tzion

Sayeret Tzion is a unique leadership program for Shevet Tzion (chevra completing Grade 10). It includes new and different activities, extra tiyulim and exciting peulot. Tzion stay in a special area of the camp site, and enjoy their own schedule and activity areas.Tzion experience Israel through working on kibbutz, Yam Le’yam, mifgashim with teenagers their age from abroad, nightime tiyulim and visits to fascinating places. The program includes sports, outings, a variety of workshops, volunteer work and enriching tochiniot.
