Camden High School's Class of 1969 held its 40th class reunion the weekend of July 31 to August 2, 2009. The weekend offered a multitude of activities to its participants beginning with an "ice breaker" Friday evening (Vienna Hotel). Saturday morn-ing saw the group gathering at the home of classmate Tom Fanning, to enjoy a breakfast feast. In the afternoon there was a scavenger hunt through

the village or an afternoon of golf. The main event Saturday evening at the Moran Post American Legion Post was capped off with an evening of dancing with music provided by D.J. Ron Scales.

The weekend culminated with breakfast on Sunday morning at the Vienna Hotel. The entire weekend offered a chance for old acquaintances to renew their friendships and catch up

on live events before drawing to a close.

For the last 20 years, our suc-cess has been predicated on providing an array of activities, a menu if you will, to pick and choose from partaking in as many or as few as desired. The planning committee is already beginning preparations for our 45th Reunion. Thanks,Committee for Class of 1969

Class of 1969 Reunion Committee Members: Front Row (L to R): Mary Kay Gardner, Nancy Nobis, Lois Riesterer, Jim McEntire, Janet Lesczyck, Jeanie Jayson. Back Row (L to R): Tom Smith, Bob Galek, Linda Dixon, Jim Riesterer, and Tom Fanning.

Class of 1979 Celebrates 30th ReunionThe class of 1979 will be cel-

ebrating it's 30th reunion the weekend of August 14th and 15th. The weekend will begin with a Meet & Greet Ice Breaker at the Grape & Grog in Camden on Friday night. We will start to gather around 7pm, and every-one is welcome to attend.

Saturday will begin with a Pic-nic and Golf outing at McCon-nellsville Golf Club. The picnic will begin at 11am, and the first foursome for golf will tee off at noon. Golf will be a simple “best ball” format and strictly for enjoyment. If you have not made reservations yet, the price for the complete package with a golf cart is $36 per person, without a cart is $28. Picnic alone is $13.50. Tickets will be available at the golf course for all three options.

Saturday evening is the Din-ner Banquet at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Ver-ona. If you have not yet made your reservations for the ban-quet, a limited number of tickets will be available at the Friday Night Ice Breaker for a price of $60 cash per person (no checks

or credit cards accepted on Fri-day Night). Since the Turning Stone requires advance regis-tration, no tickets will be avail-able at the door for the dinner banquet. So, if you have changed your mind and want to go to the banquet, get your tick-ets Friday!

I would like to thank everyone on the Reunion Planning Com-mittee. They have been fant-astic in helping organize this reunion: MaryAnn McCabe Cook, Secretary; Deanne VanDresar Suits, Treasurer; Karen Alvord Barber; William Dow; Laurie Eldridge Kohlbren-ner; Deborah Mulvaney; Denise

Blowers Nobis; Susan Hall Nut-ting; Nancy Fox Prusack; Wil-liam Reed; Jennifer VanSchoick Reed; Donald VanDresar and Bruce Willliams. Thanks for all your help the past year and in the future!

We have even planned a 2010 casual event to inagurate an informal annual get together. Starting in 2010, the Class of 1979 will meet the second Fri-day night in August (8/13/2009) at the Sunset Grill & Bar in Sylvan Beach.- Lance Williams, ChairmanClass of 1979 Reunion Planning Committee

If you are a graduate of Camden High School or Cam-den Central Schools, please help support your alumni association by both paying your annual dues of $5 and making a donation to the Alumni Scholarship Fund. Donations to the Scholarship Fund welcomed from all.
