Cambridge School, New Friends Colony
Monthly Report December 2019
A. Events within the School
On December 24th the school choir presented the Christmas assembly. The choir sang
many beautiful carols blending it with a small skit, hence, getting the whole school into
the Christmas spirit.
Secret Santa
This year we introduced a new way of spreading some joy and happiness to all our
students and teachers, called the ‘Secret Santa’. All the children were asked to bring
gifts of not more than the value of Rs.50 and were also asked to wrap it only with
newspapers. For teachers it was Rs. 200. The gifts bought by the students was collected
by the class teacher and kept in huge cartons. On December 24, the students randomly
picked up gifts to take home.
As is done every year, the new Christmas video, composed and created by our
school staff, was also launched on December
24.

taken on the tour of the community kitchen. The laser show in Govindgarh Fort was
outstanding and the 7D show was equally interesting. The Jallianwala Bagh was being
renovated so, much could not be
seen. The Partition museum had a

A talk was given by Ms. Divya Puri on compassion for animals. She also introduced the
children to her organisation, which works for stray animals in the New Friends Colony
area. Her team’s tireless commitment to feeding and caring for stray dogs, cats,
abandoned horses and cattle, was moving and inspiring for all.
