Cargo Deck
A large and clear aft deck area has been incorporated in to the design to allow for transportation of large and varied cargo and equipment to offshore ships and platforms.
Cargo rails are fitted around the perimeter of the deck area in conjunction with a series of strong deck fittings to ensure the cargo is securely fastened for transit.
The deck is designed to Class requirements and to withstand a cargo loading of 2t/m2. Timber or equivalent sheathing is fitted on to the structural weather deck to protect it from cargo loading and unloading operations.

Recessed windows to avoid damage.
Split tube fendering to protect the hull.
Top fender to protect superstructure during extreme roll angles.
Additional tyre fendering to protect the hull when alongside.
The vessel is fitted with suitable fendering to protect against damage when coming alongside other vessels and platforms. Lengths of structural split tube fendering is fitted along the sides and around the transom. Tyre fendering is also secured to the vessel side and transom for additional protection.
A length of upper fender is fitted to the superstruture side should contact be made during extreme weather and roll angles. As can be seen a large roll angle has been allowed for in the design of the superstructure shape and the windows have been recessed for additional protection.

Camarc Design’s double chine hull combines a number of advantages; finer entry in the forward sections making for a more sea-kindly shape in the slamming area, effective spray rails to keep the deck dry and to dampen motions in heavy seas with a chine shape at the aft end to give stability in following seas. An extended waterline improves hull efficiencies and provides economical operation at running speeds.
