A group of disaster preparedness experts appointed by the Central United States Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC), the US Department of the Interior Geological Survey (USGS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to develop state-of-the-art material on earthquake hazard reduction in the central and eastern United States. The project culminates with a National Earthquake Conference in May 1993 in Memphis, TN.
