Davis Lake communiqué May 2011
Julie’s Club Corner
Many of us are excited that summer is upon us and
are looking forward to our community pool opening,
there are many opportunities to make new friends &
reconnect with old ones. Please keep in mind that our
Desk Attendants and Lifeguards have a very impor-
tant job to do enforcing regulations that keep pool
members and guests safe! While some may be
friends or neighbors of the pool members their very
important responsibilities must come first. Please
honor their positions and duties by following the
rules.
Membership I.D. card/Pool Pass
All Davis lake residents 6 and up are required to have
an I.D. card and are encouraged to carry their card
with them whenever they attend social events, use the
common grounds and amenities ( pool, tennis courts,
fitness room, club-house, walking trails and lake).
I.D. cards will be required for entrance to the pool.
This will ensure our community is being used by
those who are entitled and not those from outside the
Davis Lake Community. Please know that local law
enforcement and community representatives may ask
to see your I.D at any time on Davis Lake property.
If you are new to the neighborhood, have never had a
card made or have lost your card (there is a $5 charge
to replace lost ID cards) you can stop into the club-
house during regular office hours and have your
photo taken.
Before receiving your I.D card, an adult property
owner will need to read and sign the Facility Us-
age Contract. All Davis Lake families are asked to
update their Facility Usage Contract for 2011.
Forms are available at the Clubhouse and online
and at the pool desk.
A 2011 sticker will be placed on each card once
the contract has been received.
All cards will be required to have this sticker for
access to the amenities.
Pool Grills
We are pleased that once again we
can offer the use of 2 community
grills for use by members at pool-
side. Please provide your own uten-
sils and always remember to clean
up after yourselves. A grill brush
will be provided for quick and easy
cleanup.
Summer Safety
With summertime approach-
ing we will see more of our
friends and neighbors walk-
ing and bicycling around our
community, please use cau-
tion when driving though
Davis Lake.
Slow Down, observe
speed limits and keep
your eyes open for chil-
dren. If you are bicycling
or walking in Davis Lake
please be aware of vehicles and stay in the
bike lanes or sidewalks. Have a safe,
healthy and happy summer.
In an email from Officer Charles Sayre:
Summer will be here before you know it
and we are likely to see an increase in
crime throughout the neighbor-
hood. Please be aware of any suspicious
activity in your area and call 911 so CMPD
can check it out. Breaking and Entering/
Larceny incidents are on the rise again so
please make sure to keep your garage
doors closed if you are not outside.

n’t been to the webpage, check it out! We

Davis Lake communiqué May 2011
Although Spring fling 2011 started out on a damp note on Satur-
day causing us to reschedule for Sunday the 24th, I am happy to
say that the sun came out and dried up the grounds making for a
spectacular day for an egg hunt.
Over 75 excited children and their families came out to enjoy a
fun Springtime day. They participated in the Annual Egg Hunt,
make crafts, played games and had some yummy snacks. Thank
you to the volunteers who offered their help to make this a great
day and to George Hoch for the great photos.
